Cody Rhodes On RAW Segment: “I Hope They Never Know What This Feels Like”

Apparently Cody Rhodes wasn’t too pleased with a particular segment on this week’s RAW.

Cody Rhodes took to social media to comment on this week’s RAW segment that featured Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows in a backstage segment that saw the two rip the head off of a Dusty Rhodes-themed stuffed animal before going on to defeat Goldust and R-Truth in tag-team action.

Rhodes, son of Dusty and brother of Goldust, wrote the following on his official Twitter page after seeing the show:

Cody Rhodes reacted to the segment on his Twitter, writing:

WWE Star Unhappy With Total Divas Allegations! Worry Over WWE Cruiserweights? Gobal Force Wrestling is still a thing.

- WWE superstars are very critical about their WWE treatment, first it was Tyson Kidd then Sin Cara then Cesaro and now my favorite Dana Brooke. Last week on the episode of Total Divas Lana accused Dana on stealing her move which she was working on for a very long time - a running cart wheel to a splash. To which Dana responded on Twitter saying "@TotalDivas @JulienBevis maybe watch my entrance and see my flip in that .. and watch Nxt and learn the product been doin it for years" and she continues "@KavMo @TotalDivas @JulienBevis yes exactly they did play me dirty here". This could be a feud which WWE may plan to carry on as a storyline.

- There has been a lot of talk backstage about WWE 205 Live the cruiserweight divison which will premiere after WWE Smackdown Live in the same arena. It's been said that the fans may leave the building as Smackdown Live gets over as 205 Live don't have any major superstar yet to carry the brand.

- This may be a huge surprise to all wrestling fans around the world that Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling GFW still exists in today's world. Multiple episodes have been shooted but it has not been programmed anywhere. Cody Rhodes has defeated Sonjay Dutt and became the GFW Nex-Gen Champion is a Wrestle Cade show.

Stardust Gimmick Is Smart Change of Direction for Cody Rhodes

Last night on Raw, the latest development in the Cody Rhodes-Goldust saga came out of nowhere: Goldust's new partner is Stardust, or Cody using one of their father's nicknames while dressed up as a cross between Starman from Pro Wrestling for the Nintendo Entertainment System and Goldust.

After a bit of a losing streak for both the Rhodes brothers and then Goldust with a number of temporary partners, the new team made quick work of Rybaxel when Stardust used Masato Tanaka's old Diamond Dust (get it?) finisher to pick up the win.

For months now, it seemed like everything was leading to Cody turning on Goldust.  That could still be the plan, but WWE has a few ways it can go now.

Before we get into whether or not he'll turn, there's the question of how long this will last.  Stardust having new custom entrance music and a new custom outfit makes me think that regardless of the planned end point, this isn't just going to last a couple weeks.  It would be an odd way for the company to invest its resources.  One-offs like Damien Sandow's parade of recent gimmicks often use generic stock music, but Stardust came out to a new, space-themed interpolation of Goldust's entrance song.

So with that in mind, I don't see a scenario where this ends in a few weeks.  So, what's next?

I see WWE testing the waters: Let it breathe for a while.  See how the crowds react.  If they eat it up, keep it going.  If they don't, Cody turns heel on his brother for turning him into a clown show and they finally feud with each other.  If you keep it going, you eventually turn Cody but only when it's the right time.

Then again, does Cody Rhodes really have a future as a heel?

"Dashing" Cody Rhodes, especially once he was "disfigured," was, while good in the ring, a terribly stilted promo as a heel.  It was a bad impression of Dr. Doom where he overacted all the time.  Regular "Dashing" Cody Rhodes wasn't much better.  As much as I want to see a Cody Rhodes vs. Goldust feud in and of itself, I don't want to see Cody go on an extended heel run.  I just don't see him going anywhere.

He may very well be better off with Stardust catching on.  As good as Goldust is, he's 45 years old.  He's going to slow down sooner or later.  Cody could be groomed to be his successor of sorts, and I don't see Cody doing well if he's not tied to Goldust in some form.

If this does lead to a Cody-Goldust feud, I'd rather Cody turn back to being a babyface at the end.  He's a much better babyface than he is a heel, and I like the idea of the family being stronger after the storyline is over.

Either way, I'm curious to see where this goes.  What does everybody else think?

Cody Rhodes and Goldust Are Being Wasted in Battle Royal at WrestleMania 30

On the March 10 edition of Raw, Hulk Hogan announced an Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal for WrestleMania 30. The Battle Royal will feature 30 Superstars vying for the coveted Andre the Giant trophy.

The match participants will include the likes of Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio, Big Show, Mark Henry and others. Interestingly enough, all of these individuals were contending for world championships last year and now find themselves in a randomly thrown-together Battle Royal.

No disrespect to Andre the Giant, but it is the obligatory "get everyone on the card" match that we seem to get every year at WrestleMania in some form or fashion. While its dedication to the memory of Andre makes it feel somewhat special, odds are that many of the combatants won't last very long in the contest and will be ultimately overshadowed.

This also rings very true for Cody Rhodes and Goldust, who have since been entered into the matchup as of the March 21 SmackDown. Unlike many of the other Superstars involved, the Rhodes brothers were easily one of the best things going only a few short months ago.

Hardly anyone expected the firing of Cody Rhodes to be as big as it ended up becoming, as it soon involved all of The Authority as well as the rest of the Rhodes family. It culminated in a blockbuster tag team match at WWE Battleground in which Cody and Goldust paired up for the first time ever to defeat The Shield and earn their jobs back.

Needless to say, that match stole the show and was among the top 10 matches of 2013. The Rhodes brothers became a mainstay in the tag team division from that point forward, winning the WWE Tag Team Championships from Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns eight days later.

They went on to reign as Tag Team champions for over three months, giving stellar performances at the Hell in a Cell, Survivor Series and TLC pay-per-view events. They defended their straps against all comers and were one of the hottest acts in all of wrestling during that period of time.

When it came time for them to drop the belts to the New Age Outlaws at the Royal Rumble, many saw this as the opportunity for them to split up and begin feuding with one another going into WrestleMania 30. It's been a match fans have been begging for since 2011, and there was no better time for it to happen than at the 30th anniversary of The Show of Shows.

However, after failing to regain the gold in early February, Cody and Goldust were essentially an afterthought. There were no hints of dissension in the ranks, and they were no longer regulars on Raw in the weeks that followed.

In simple terms, WWE missed the perfect opportunity to put on a match with meaning attached to it at WrestleMania. Although Goldust has gone on record in the last month saying that he has zero desire to face his brother at the event, it's still a highly anticipated match that would have served as a perfect addition to the card.

Those that have stated they would rather see the match take place next year at WrestleMania 31 may not realize that is out of the question, since Goldust's current contract is rumored to expire in August, per F4WOnline.com (h/t Prowrestling.com). The Bizarre One has also made it clear in the past that he wouldn't want to face Cody anywhere else but on The Grandest Stage of Them All, not even at SummerSlam.

Thus, the ship has sailed on that match ever happening now that they have both been placed in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. One would think that WWE would have something much more meaningful in mind for the tandem after their months of hard work and excellent matches, but apparently not.

If they weren't going to face off against each other at 'Mania, the least WWE could have done was put them in the WWE Tag Team Championship match. While it has yet to be confirmed, the bout will probably pit current champions The Usos against The Real Americans and the duo of Ryback and Curtis Axel in a Triple Threat tag team match.

Ryback and Axel were also originally announced for the Battle Royal before being pulled to compete in the Tag Team title match, so it's still possible that the same can be done for the Rhodes brothers. After all, they own two victories over The Real Americans, who defeated The Usos on the March 17 Raw.

Given all that they have done to help boost the credibility of the tag team division in the last six months, one can only hope that Cody and Goldust will be added to the matchup. If not, then they will just be two of 30 people crammed in a ring, not receiving the attention or spotlight they rightfully deserve.

What a shame.

WWE Smackdown 2/21/14 Result:Cody Rhodes, Goldust and Rey Mysterio vs. The Wyatt Family

photo coutresy: wwe.com
If one thing is clear, it is that WWE has perfected the six-man tag team match formula, and it was once again on display this week as The Wyatt Family defeated Rey Mysterio, Cody Rhodes and Goldust to continue rolling as it heads into Elimination Chamber and what should be a war against The Shield this Sunday night.

WATCH: WWE Smackdown 2/21/14

The match was solidly wrestled, and the closing moments, as has become the norm for matches of this sort, were wild, chaotic and energetic and really popped the crowd.

The blind tag to Bray Wyatt, which caught Goldust off guard and ultimately led to his demise, was really well done and led to Sister Abigail from Wyatt for the win.

Cody Rhodes vs. Goldust Should Not Happen at WrestleMania 30

Cody Rhodes and Goldust have been riding high as WWE's most successful tag team since last year. The sons of Dusty Rhodes came together following Cody's firing by Triple H and subsequent attacks on their family from The Authority.

But now that they have lost the WWE tag-team championships, the future of The Brotherhood is uncertain. Some fans are already fully expecting the brothers to part ways and then face off at the company's biggest event of the year, WrestleMania 30.  But that is not what should happen.

It may not be the popular opinion, but the truth is that wrestling each other basically has no point, no reason to happen in the first place.  The reunion of Cody and Dustin Rhodes was a moment that fans loved, a moment that directly translated to their new tag team and to their eventual run as WWE tag-team champions.

The Brotherhood worked every tag team in WWE.  From The Real Americans to The Wyatt Family to The Shield, the Rhodes brothers took on every challenge and did so in one top-notch tag match after another. In fact, they led what could be considered a new tag-team renaissance; a new era for high-paced and action-packed tag matches that could main event any card.

Cody and Dustin became part of the workhorse breed of WWE.  Along with CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and The Shield, the Rhodes brothers were part of the backbone of so many events, as they consistently delivered one 5-star performance after another.

And the fans immediately responded to them.  Cody was seen as a Superstar that was finally being given his opportunity to shine in WWE.  Following a split with Damien Sandow that saw the youngest Rhodes son turn babyface, the timing seemed right for Cody to begin advancing up the ladder in the company.

However, that advancement did not come until he and older brother Dustin formed their tag team and began working main-event-caliber matches.  Now Cody Rhodes is seen in a new light as a man that has finally found a nice niche for success in WWE.

Goldust is a Superstar that has seemingly found the fountain of youth.  The 26-year veteran, in fact, looks like a 26-year-old again, as he has more than carried his share of the load in The Brotherhood.

His ring work is on par with any other Superstar he and his brother have faced, and for fans this is more than just a nostalgia act.  Goldust is the real deal and has far surpassed any expectations from the WWE faithful that perhaps were already anticipating big things from him.

The brother dynamic of the tag team has done nothing but work in their favor as well. Their alliance is a great way to pay homage to their father without anyone on WWE programming even mentioning the link to The American Dream all that often.  The Brotherhood works in large part because of the history that is there for both men individually and the history that exists between them as the sons of Dusty Rhodes.

The Rhodes brothers are a great example of what happens when hard work and a desire to deliver the best meets the absolute perfect circumstances.  They are the right tag team at the right time.

But despite all their success and despite all the ground they've covered, it's all just background noise for some WWE fans.  For them, this pairing has existed from the very beginning for the express purpose of one brother turning on the other for a WrestleMania showdown.

While this sounds like a very intriguing idea and both men would undoubtedly put on a good match, the issue of whether or not it's even necessary is still up for debate.  After all, the brothers have been a unit since October of 2013 and have shown no real outward signs of any stress or tension.

This is also true of their recent loss to The New Age Outlaws at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.  Their three-month title reign was dashed in one night, thanks to a team that last won the tag titles 14 years ago.  And what happened after that loss?  Did one vent his frustrations on the other?  Did they come to blows, furious over having lost the belts to Triple H's old Degeneration-X running buddies?

The answer is no.  None of that happened. The fact is that the next night on Raw saw The Brotherhood get their rematch with the Outlaws in a bout that could have gone either way. From a storyline perspective, Cody and Goldust could have won the championships had it not been for Brock Lesnar's interference.

Did that interference lead to The Brotherhood's meltdown on Monday?  No it did not.

The truth is that anything can happen.  There is plenty of time before WrestleMania goes down in April, and in that time, an angle can be worked up that would see either Goldust or Cody decide he's had enough and crave the singles spotlight once again.

Both Cody and Goldust are very good at what they do; they can provide a memorable match at 'Mania.

But at this point, there seems to be no point in it.  It seems to be a popular idea merely because of the novelty of it, but for fans that desire a plausible back-story, it perhaps falls a bit short.  The Shield could not break them.  The Authority could not break them.  They withstood every challenge placed in front of them and did not waver.

Why would they now fall apart with just one loss to a team handpicked by the company's heel authority figure?

Cody Rhodes versus Goldust may be the dream match that some fans want, but for others it could be seen as an unnecessary bit of booking.  Without the proper setup, this match could be lost in the shuffle among other main-event attractions that WrestleMania 30 is sure to bring.

Cody Rhodes and Goldust Winning The Tag Team Titles is Best For Business

When did you see that the Tag Team Championship titles was on the line at the main event, with everyone wanted the titles to change hands.

Since WWE Night of Champions, The Shield hasn't defended the titles against anyone. Before that Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins defended the title at Money in the Bank PPV pre-show (Watch) and didn't defend it at SummerSlam (Watch) at all.

This time the Tag Team titles was on the line with and emotional crowd support for Cody Rhodes and Goldust. They carried the momentum to another level. Tag Team titles never meant so much before to the Rhodes family, when Cody Rhodes held the title before with Hardcore Holly, Ted DiBiase and when Goldust held the title with Booker T.

Cody Rhodes & Goldust vs. Seth Rollins &Roman Reigns - WWE Tag Team Title Match: Raw, Oct. 14, 2013

WATCH: Raw 10/14/13 (Full Episode)

It will be very interesting to see that who will take the titles from Cody and Goldust in future as The Shield has a rematch clause in their pocket. The Usos has also been in the Tag Team title picture in the past as the No.1 contender.

Rhodes family winning the title surely is the "Best For Business".

WWE Royal Rumble 2013 Tag Title Match Will Steal the Show

On the night of The Rock's return to the ring, it will be two tag teams who steal the show at the 2013 Royal Rumble.

The Rock and CM Punk's WWE title match is getting the majority of attention and build going into the pay-per-view. Just behind that is the rivalry between John Cena and Dolph Ziggler.

The WWE Tag Team Title match between Team Hell No and Rhodes Scholars is almost an afterthought at this point. It's a shame because all four competitors in the match can wrestle and are helping what is a bit of a renaissance in the tag team division.

That won't be the case after the Royal Rumble is over. No matter how the biggest matches end, fans are going to be disappointed with the outcomes.

This opens the door for the tag title match to be one of the most enjoyable things on the show.

More than likely, The Rock will beat CM Punk for the WWE Title, thus enraging the fans arguing against Punk ending his 400-plus-day reign as champion against a wrestler who hasn't been in the ring in nine months.

If Punk wins, people will be upset The Rock came back just to job out to an inferior star

In terms of the Royal Rumble match, Cena has to be considered a heavy favorite, thus possibly setting up a rematch of the "Once in a Lifetime" match with The Rock at WrestleMania.

If this were to be the case, it would make the buildup to WrestleMania too predictable and ruin a bit of a spectacle that last year's match had.

The tag title match doesn't have to carry the weight of expectation with it.

Daniel Bryan, Kane, Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes can just get in the ring and do exactly what they have been in the last few months. There isn't a preconceived demand of what the match must or must not do.

Additionally, there isn't a worry as to how good the match can be.

Few wrestlers in WWE lately have been able to deliver on as much of a consistent basis as these two tag teams. They've been great in backstage segments, interviews and in the ring.

The fans are invested in all four of the wrestlers. All four of them are able to garner a reaction, be it positive or negative, from the audience, so the crowd should be hot during the match.

Unlike some tag teams where the wrestlers are simply two singles wrestlers put together for a short period of time, Team Hell No and Rhodes Scholars feel like genuine partnerships. They stick up for and complement each other in the way that tag teams should.

If there's any doubt as to whether the tag team division has been revived, it will be cast aside at the Royal Rumble.

Cody Rhodes Is a Future WWE Champion

Once Cody Rhodes' run with Damien Sandow is over, he can focus on his true calling: future WWE champion.

Despite his famous family, the former Intercontinental champion has the look, the talent and the drive to create a legacy his father and half-brother never could.

As the son of a WWE Hall of Famer, it would be easy for Rhodes to get lost in his famous father’s shadow.

"The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes was once one of the biggest draws in professional wrestling. Crowds lined up not only to see him wrestle but listen to him talk. He was one of the all-time greats on the microphone.

Cody's half-brother, Dustin Rhodes, was equally good in the ring.

Better known as Goldust, he captured 11 championships in WWE. As The Bizarre One, he came to represent what the Attitude Era was about: pushing boundaries and creating a new and edgier product.

While The American Dream captured three NWA World titles in his career, neither he nor Goldust ever won the WWE championship.

The youngest Rhodes will do just that.

He has the good looks and build WWE loves. But what does this have to do with his wrestling?

As much as fans want WWE to be first and foremost about wrestling, this isn’t true. Like any other business, the goal is to make money.

The WWE corporate website states they have sponsorships with many companies: Burger King, Mattel, Pepsi and Proctor & Gamble, to name a few. This doesn’t take in to account recent deals with Fruity Pebbles and Irish Spring.

Rhodes has that athletic good look that translates well on television. Wider exposure to the mainstream for him translates to more of his merchandise sold and more revenue for the WWE.

“The more popular you are, the more money you make,” CM Punk said two weeks ago on RAW. “The more [the] people cheer for any given Superstar, the more opportunities [they’re] afforded.”

This will happen for Rhodes. But what makes his situation unique is he has the talent to back up whatever push he may receive.

His solid amateur wrestling background gives him legitimacy in the ring. As a junior in high school, he won the Georgia state tournament for his weight class and went on to successfully defend that title the next year.

Behind that talent is also drive.

On ESPN.com, his father said:

"Being a state champion, he had a great drive. And people might look at him and say how he plays quarterback because he's the coach's son, but I've had nothing to do with this. Sometimes I wonder why Peyton Manning and Eli are so good if they're the coach's son. But I just think it's because these kids all have a drive."

In the same article, Rhodes himself states success in the ring has to do with how well one can “play the game.”

And he plays that game well. He’s already won four tag team titles and two Intercontinental titles. Two of those six reigns lasted over six months each.

With Team Rhodes Scholars, he is poised to win a fifth tag team championship.

With all he has wrapped up inside him, he has the best chance to cement his family’s legacy by winning the WWE championship somewhere down the line.

All he has to do is keep playing the game.

Why Team Rhodes Scholars Is the Best Duo in WWE

Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow know they have something good going in WWE.

Or is that something bad going?

You would be right either way. Team Rhodes Scholars is the best bad duo going in WWE today.

You might even take it one step farther to say they are the best tag team…period.

And that’s why it is only a matter of time before they become World Tag Team Champions. A championship match is inevitable at WWE Royal Rumble 2013 between the Rhodes Scholars and Team Hell No.

That ticket was stamped when Rhodes and Sandow beat Team Hell No at last week's Raw show in Tampa, Fla.

So why have Rhodes and Sandow succeeded where some of the other teams have failed? They know exactly which buttons to push to generate the most heat from the WWE Universe.

Sandow has his “Intellectual Savior of the Masses” gimmick honed so well that you almost believe he really thinks he IS smarter than everyone else. To make things worse, his smugness and high opinion of himself drives the arena crowds into a boo-filled frenzy.

Rhodes has always been a master at generating heel heat, so he provides the perfect complement for Sandow's condescending attitude.

Team Rhodes Scholars takes their act very seriously, and that draws even more ire from the crowds. They do not shout or make up pithy things to say about their opponents or the audience members.

Whether in the ring or on the ramp, Sandow always sounds like he ate Webster's Dictionary for supper and followed it up with an encyclopedia for dessert.

Rhodes and Sandow act like they are doing the audience a favor by allowing the audience to see them work. By acting like they do not care about you, they make you care about them.

Look at the other top heel tag team, the Prime Time Players. Their constant woofing about their opponents and their “Millions of Dollars” dance plays to the crowds to the point that they actually are starting to hear cheers.

No, the Rhodes Scholars come to the ring with strategy and a game plan, not to play and have fun. And even if they are having fun, they certainly are not going to let you see it.

That's not to say that Team Hell No is a slouch. They are the tag team champions after all.

But while they were a comedy act that became a good tag team, the Rhodes Scholars were a good tag team that became a better tag team.

Putting the tag belts on them is the next step toward putting tag team wrestling back into the prominent position it once was. They can build on what Team Hell No has started.

Tag team matches are no longer the bathroom break in a pay-per-view event they once were. People actually are staying in their seats and in front of their TV screens to watch the teams go at it.

And when Team Rhodes Scholars is in the ring, the people are watching a real treat.

It’s no wonder Damien Sandow always says, “You’re welcome.”

Another WWE Superstar Nearly Suspended for Wellness Policy Violation

Earlier this week, the WWE announced on their website that former champion Randy Orton will be suspended for the next 60 days due to his second violation of the company’s wellness policy.

This came on the heels of the 60-day suspension of Rey Mysterio in April.

Here are the details from a report on SuperLuchas.net (via WrestlingInc.com) on what current superstar nearly failed a drug test of their own before avoiding a suspension earlier this year.

SuperLuchas.net reports Cody Rhodes recently tested positive on a drug test for a banned substance but was cleared after providing a valid prescription from a licensed and treating physician.

Before being cleared of his positive drug test for a banned substance, the former Intercontinental Champion took to his Twitter account to post a short, cryptic message to his fans in advance of the likely suspension at that time.

After avoiding a suspension of his own unlike Orton, the WWE should elevate Rhodes into a main event feud on SmackDown possibly with the World Heavyweight Champion, Sheamus, following his title defense against Alberto Del Rio at No Way Out on June 17.

Even though being a horrible situation for the WWE, this could be a good one for Rhodes as he can get his foot in the door of the main event and remain there if he can perform well in the coming weeks.

With the loss of Orton for the next two months, what superstar do you think the WWE should move up into the main-event scene to help fill the hole left by the Viper in the wake of his suspension?

Why Cody Rhodes Now Has a Clear Shot to the Top

courtesy : wwe.com

After losing his Intercontinental Championship to The Big Show at WrestleMania 28, "Dashing" Cody Rhodes is now free to enter main-event status.

There is no other mid-carder that is as worthy as Rhodes. He has been one of the most exciting all-around wrestlers in the company. His skills on the microphone are incredible. Rhodes has the voice, the attitude and enough of the "it factor" to make him a top star in this company.

Like Randy Orton, Rhodes might get a slighter push to the top because he is the son of a WWE legend, Dusty Rhodes. Being the son of a legend is not the only thing that will get him to the top, just ask his brother Goldust and his former tag-team partner Ted DiBiase Jr., but it will give him a little boost.

Although it has not been the norm lately, the rise of a WWE star begins to plateau after he held a mid-card belt for a while then lost it. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H and some of the other great legends won an Intercontinental or U.S. Title before winning the top belt.

The "Dashing One" has been in the middle of the card for way too long now, and he is now free to skyrocket to the top. Although Rhodes may be able to achieve the rise to the top on his current show, Friday Night SmackDown, it would benefit his image a lot more if he were on Monday Night RAW.

With the WWE draft approaching on April 23, Rhodes may be traded from SmackDown to RAW to make him more of a household name. If Rhodes is on RAW, he will be exposed again to more viewers.

It would make perfect sense if he went there because he is in need of more exposure. Rhodes is one of the better young talents in the WWE and will carry the torch when a lot of the veterans decide to hang it up.

The WWE did a good job of keeping him with SmackDown as he developed into a great talent, but now it is time to put him on the best show with their best title.

He will have a much better opportunity if he is able to switch shows, but it will not stunt his growth if he were not traded. The feuds would be a lot better on RAW because there is more talent to work with.

There are plenty of babyfaces on RAW that Rhodes can feud with. He may need to enter a feud or two on RAW before entering main-event status. As long as Rhodes does not divert from being a heel, his potential feuds on RAW will be one interesting sight to see.

Once the epic feud between Chris Jericho and CM Punk is over, Rhodes should interfere and start a new feud with Punk.

Smart money says Punk will keep the WWE Championship around his waist once the feud is over because he is the top guy in the company now. Punk will need a new heel to feud with. Punk has just about had beef with every heel on the RAW roster. One heel he has not had a feud with is Rhodes.

There won't be much of a drop off from Jericho to Rhodes. Like Jericho, Rhodes is solid on the microphone and can keep a feud alive with mic skills. Also like Jericho, when a fight is going to go down, Rhodes will put on a great show for the crowd with his top-notch wrestling ability.

The mind games that Rhodes plays with his opponents parallels Jericho's. The way he uses everything to his advantage screams Jericho as well.

However, if the "Dashing One" is sent to RAW or kept on SmackDown only to fight for mid-card belts, he may face the same fate that Dolph Ziggler has by staying in mid-card purgatory.

Fortunately for Rhodes and his fans, this won't happen to him. Rhodes is on par with Ziggler's wrestling ability, but he is much better at cutting promos.

But I digress.

The sky is the limit for young Rhodes. Wrestling fans should expect to see a lot of him in the coming years because he will lead the new era of talented superstars in the WWE for all the reasons stated above.

Latest Update on Goldust Possibly Facing Cody Rhodes

Goldust has created himself very apparent on Twitter: He wants to deal with his real-life brother Cody Rhodes in a WWE band.

The former Intercontinental Champ wants to have a go with with the present Intercontinental Champ, and he’s campaigned for a "Career vs. Title" go with between the two at WrestleMania 28.

The WWE lastly actually began the feud between Goldust and Rhodes many months ago, but Goldust was nowhere to be discovered on last week’s SmackDown, making many to wonder when, if ever, the bros will fight it out.

Well, the newest on the opportunity of Goldust vs. Rhodes, pleasantness of WrestleZone.com, is: "Most latest innovative programs has Cody Rhodes vs. Goldust/Dustin Rhodes to have a go with at the Reduction Step pay-per-view in March."

I think I’m probably a much larger Goldust fan than most, but I really wish the WWE would carry off on this go with until WrestleMania 28.

Unless the innovative group has some other enormous programs in shop for Rhodes at the greatest pay-per-view of the season (such as successful the Cash in the Financial institution match), then there can be really no purpose to relegate it to Reduction Step.

While the present technology of lovers might not really keep in mind Goldust all that well or be able to admiration him for everything he’s done in the enterprise, I think they would be pleased with him if he ran against Rhodes at WrestleMania 28.

I’m not saying it’ll be like viewing Ric Sparkle vs. Ough Steamboat, but it would be a very excellent go with that could really help increase the show’s undercard. Plus, it’s an excellent way to put Rhodes over without injuring any full-time wrestler.

He can contend against Goldust in a very competitive go with, get the pin and then Goldust can contact it a profession.

Meanwhile, Rhodes can talk about defeating his sister, and after defeating Booker T as well, he can become somewhat of a second returning of the "Legend Killer" or something along those collections.

I think I’m getting prior to myself, huh?

Cody Rhodes is finally getting the push he deserves

courtesy : wwe.com

After getting half pushes and mediocre runs at secondary championships, this finally looks like the beginning of a heavy push for WWE star Cody Rhodes.

The son of WWE legend Dusty Rhodes is one of the best in-ring workers in the company, and his mic skills have come a long way since he came through the door.

After short stints as US Title and Tag Title holder and feuds that were thought to lead to World Title opportunities, the road to a the top is more clearly laid out now than ever before for the youngest Rhodes wrestler.

Wrestle Zone is reporting from the SmackDown tapings:

Cody Rhodes defeated Ezekiel Jackson for the Intercontinental Championship at tonight's WWE Smackdown taping. We will have detailed taping results posted as soon as we receive them.

As with many of the biggest pushes in the WWE’s history, it almost almost always stars with a secondary belt, but leads to bigger and better matches and even World titles.

Rhodes has the inside track to the top with the status and clout his father has in the WWE, but don’t think for one second that he is having anything handed to him. Rhodes works very hard to get better, and you can see it with every match he works.

Ezekiel Jackson is a great physical specimen, but his lame move set and his inability to keep a crowd interested will relegate him to a jobber before the year is through. Soon enough he will find himself with Chris Masters on the unemployment line while Cody Rhodes is sporting the World Heavyweight Championship.

Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes (Falls Count Anywhere Match)

Winning at The Grandest Stage of Them All, Wrestlemania 27 (watch) was not enough for Cody Rhodes. Cody said that he will do to Rey Mysterio the same thing what Rey did to him.

It all happend on Jan 21 when Rey blasted Cody with an 619 by an exposed leg brace, that 619 made a severe damage on Cody's nose.

Cody's victory at Wrestlemania is not the end, he has to destroy Rey.

When SmackDown was in London, England (watch), Cody provoked an match at Extreme Rules in an Falls Count Anywhere Match.

Falls Count Anywhere Match will massively help Cody to do what ever he want to do to Rey, when ever an match happened in an Falls Count Anywhere the environment becomes and enemy!
