Raven Admits He Needed Therapy Over Never Winning WWE World Title

Raven revealed that a major regret in his wrestling career was never becoming WWE World Champion. This gap in his achievements made him feel as though his career wasn’t fully successful, despite his many accomplishments.

He shared that these feelings prompted him to seek therapy, where he was encouraged to stop holding himself to such a high standard and to acknowledge and accept his successes.

Although he never won WWE’s top title, Raven achieved numerous other milestones, including multiple WWE Hardcore Championship reigns, two ECW World Heavyweight Championships, and the NWA World Heavyweight Title during his TNA tenure.

After loosing at SummerSlam (Watch), Shinsuke Nakamura get's another chance to win the WWE Championship title from Jinder Mahal's at WWE Hell in a Cell.

(For India)            (For United States)

When Nakamura was about to capture the WWE title at The Biggest Event of The Summer, but the The Singh Brothers distracted Nakamura which allowed Mahal to retain the title.

On the following Smackdown, Nakamura made it very clear that he is not yet finished and he will end Mahal's title reign. But he has to face Randy Orton to gain the rematch first. The two clashed in a first ever showdown on SmackDown edition of 5th September. Nakamura won the match with a thunderous Kinshasa to earn the championship opportunity.

As this is a earned rematch of SummerSlam, so both the Superstars know what to expect from each other. Who will win? we will find out at WWE Hell in a Cell.

WWE Battleground 2014 Predictions: WWE Title Match: John Cena vs. Roman Reigns vs. Kane vs. Randy Orton

At Money in the Bank, Cena captured his 15th heavyweight championship, much to the dismay of a WWE Universe that has grown tired of his act. Sunday night at Battleground, he will defend that title against The Authority's Randy Orton and Kane and breakout star Roman Reigns in a huge Fatal 4-Way main event.

There has been noticeable tension between Cena and Reigns, who have had several heated staredowns in the weeks leading into the event. The crowd responses to the teased encounter between them have been phenomenal, proving that WWE could have a big-money match on its hand if it chooses to go in that direction.

Over the last two weeks, the attention has turned toward the growing dissension within The Authority, most notably that involving Kane and Orton. It intensified Monday night when Orton dropped the Demon with an RKO, ensuring that the Big Red Monster will have plenty of anger to unleash when the two take to the ring for the Battleground main event.

With one of the biggest shows of the year right around the corner, do not be surprised if the booking helps set up some of the highest-profile bouts on the SummerSlam card.

Prediction: John Cena

There are only two realistic choices to leave Tampa with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Reigns is as hot as any other babyface on the roster and has been accepted with open arms by a fanbase desperate for anything but the neon-wearing champion they have now. A win for him would be the culmination of a tremendous push over the last two months.

The danger of rushing him into a situation he is not prepared for, however, is significant and could result in the irreparable damage.

That brings us to the aforementioned neon-wearing champion, who is the unquestioned face of WWE and the company's resident "Superman." When faced with tremendous adversity, he always manages to come out with his head held high and his arm raised higher.

With the timing not right for Reigns and no chance of Orton or Kane winning the gold, Cena should retain and enter SummerSlam with the top prize in professional wrestling for the second consecutive year.

WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match Already Has Massive Appeal

The Elimination Chamber will serve as the arena for the gladiators battling for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

To combat a throng of discontented fans, WWE not only put Daniel Bryan in a title match, but one that is overrun with potential. The emotional weight of Bryan's quest for the WWE title, star power and a history of great chemistry power a main event that appears to be a classic in the making.

On Monday's Raw, Bryan, Sheamus and John Cena defeated The Shield to earn a place inside the Elimination Chamber.

Randy Orton will be awaiting them, his hold on his championship suddenly tenuous. Eventually, two more Superstars will join those four men. The match is already looking to be a must-watch event.

History, Chemistry

Even with the field not complete, the championship match teems with animosity.

Bryan enters a match against the man who cheated him out of the title several times over, the man who embarrassed him at WrestleMania 28 and the wrestler who provided the biggest victory of his career.

There should be no issue with creating believable tension between Bryan and Orton once they meet in the chamber. Orton has been his torturer, the man cackling in his nightmares. Their best collisions have resulted in great matches.

That's even truer for Sheamus and Bryan, who clicked beautifully together at Extreme Rules 2012.

WWE knows that any combination of these entrants is bound to produce something special. Orton and Cena's rivalry has been ovqerused, but the company keeps going to that well because of their production together. The energy that those rivals built during TLC 2013's main event is now combined with the power of several other clashes.

The greatness of Cena vs. Bryan at SummerSlam promises that their next showdown will be fantastic.

Sheamus and Cena have a history to call upon as well, dating back to 2009. The buildup to Elimination Chamber can play up how Cena failed against "The Celtic Warrior" at TLC 2009 with the WWE Championship on the line.

Orton can brag about his many victories over Bryan and Sheamus and build on the tension they had before and after their partnership at WrestleMania 29.

Material is plentiful for WWE writers going forward with this match.

Once the warriors step inside the steel, things will only get better. What we've seen in the past from these Superstars' collisions points to this upcoming bout being thrilling and moving. That is even before the last two wrestlers are announced.

Star Power Sure to Grow

Men like The Great Khali, Santino Marella and R-Truth have battled in previous Elimination Chamber matches. This time around, only the top stars will enter the steel structure.

The match already features a returning headliner in Sheamus, the hottest star in the company in Bryan and Cena, whose presence makes any match feel bigger, as Orton's challengers. Rather than have another Orton vs. Cena match or pitting Bryan against "The Viper" again, WWE has instead gone the route of combining its biggest names in a single bout.

With the level of star power that has already been announced, one has to expect that the last two spots will be filled by wrestlers occupying the company's top tier.

The likeliest next entrant is Brock Lesnar. Paul Heyman conveyed his desire to clash with either Orton or Batista on Monday's Raw. His demands went unanswered and Lesnar took out his frustrations on a handful of chairs and the Rhodes brothers' vertebrae.

The self-proclaimed No. 1 contender would only add to the match's stock of star power.

Lesnar's light schedule makes each of his bouts feel especially significant. Should he enter the chamber, the level of intensity and violence of the action are sure to rise. He has never competed inside in this type of match and that novelty alone amps up excitement surrounding the main event.

Bryan's Dream Still Breathing

The anger about Bryan not being in the Royal Rumble was more about his exclusion from the WrestleMania main event.

As Steve Austin became WWE's most popular wrestler, he dethroned Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XIV. Back in 1990, the increasing support for Ultimate Warrior pushed him to a WrestleMania title bout against Hulk Hogan.

After the Rumble, it seemed that Bryan would not get his own shot in the brightest spotlight.

The chamber match provides an alternate path for him to charge down, a way to make things right with a disgruntled fanbase.

Bryan does have to go through five other foes and a booking team that has kept yanking down as soon as he sits upon WWE's throne. Even so, the championship and the main event spot at WrestleMania are still within reach.

Going into the match, many fans will pull for Sheamus, Cena or perhaps Lesnar, but Bryan's unique connection with fans will have his support be of the electric, hearing-damaging kind. Rooting for Bryan in this match is rooting for the underdog, the best overall wrestler in WWE today.

Fans have watched him be cheated out of title matches from SummerSlam on. Every time that Bryan is knocked off the mountaintop, his supporters grow louder, hijacking the WWE product to voice their opinion.

A victory here is proof that WWE is in tune with its audience, the salve to the wounds of seeing a hero suffer.

Every moment that he appears close to being eliminated will hold the crowd's attention hostage. Should he make it to the final two, every near-fall will push hearts into throats and ensnare every eye in the building.

Getting fans to care about the outcome of a scripted match to that degree is pro wrestling's ultimate goal. With Bryan's inclusion, the quality of his competitors, the thrill of the gimmick match's uniqueness and the high stakes involved, the as-yet-incomplete Elimination Chamber main event has already accomplished that.

The Rock Gave LeBron the WWE Championship Belt for His Birthday

Yesterday was LeBron James’ 29th birthday. The current best basketball player in the world, of course, got a bunch of birthday greetings over social media, including messages from his teammate Dwyane Wade, Magic Johnson, a pair of headphones, and even our own Andy Gray.

But sorry, Dwyane, Magic, Andy, and Dr Dre’s headphones, the Rock topped all of you with this.

Now, it’s worth noting that The Rock isn’t the current WWE Champion — he lost the title to John Cena last April at Wrestlemania 29. Randy Orton — known as The Legend Killer — is the current WWE Champion. Perhaps we should have a LeBron James vs Randy Orton match to decide who is the undisputed WWE Champion once and for all.

WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan - WWE Night of Champions 2013

Daniel Bryan is still distributed for what happened at SummerSlam (Watch), but at WWE Night of Champions WWE Universe's favorite "Yes" man has one more chance to gain the championship title that many believe stolen from him by the current WWE Champion Randy Orton.

WWE's "The Beard" man invoked his rematch clause only to prove that he is much more than a “solid B-plus,” as Stephanie McMahon suggests, and entering an new era of WWE main eventer's. For that, Bryan has to face WWE’s Apex Predator who won the title at The Biggest Party of the Summer by having McMahon family and Triple H as his back-up.

The rematch was announced at Aug,23 episode of Smackdown (Watch). Bryan wanted to face Orton that night at the blue brand ring, but the imperious Orton holded the match until Sept, 15th at Night of Champions PPV.

Will Triple H, Mr. McMahon or Stephanie McMahon influence this match in anyway as they lack faith in Bryan, as The Viper believes that it's his good luck and Bryan's bad luck and nothing more.

Influences aside, this WWE Championship title match is build up on hatred, bitterness and ego between the champion and the challenger. Both the fighters has faced each other in the past on Raw 6/24/13 (Watch) in a Street Match, which ended with a handshake after The Viper tap out, there is a little room for respect in this rivalry as the WWE title is on the line. Being WWE Chairman, COO and Executive Vice President of Creative on his side, Orton believes that he is the face the company needed.

With the constant support of Triple H and the McMahons will Orton rebel against Bryan. WWE Universe has seen what Bryan is capable of when his respect is on the line. Will Bryan gain what was stolen from him or will Orton continue to be the cooperate champion.

John Cena's Best and Worst Moments Of His World Title Reign

John Cena limped into his eleventh WWE title reign and lost the gold a warrior earning respect even in defeat.

From April 7 to August 18, Cena could proudly proclaim "the champ is here!" Now that his time with the championship is over and he is set to let his battered body heal for several months, we can look back at the highs and lows of that reign.

Some of his best work during this time came outside the ring, talking trash against The World's Strongest Man and The World's Toughest Vegan. Some of his worst moments were booking issues—missed opportunities and ill-advised decisions from WWE officials.

From WrestleMania 29 to SummerSlam 2013, here are the best and worst moments of Cena's latest turn as the king of the mountain.

Worst: Win at WrestleMania
WWE would have a difficult time pitting two bigger stars against each other than The Rock and John Cena. While the match felt big and the star power did well to elevate the WrestleMania 29 main event, the action itself was disappointing.

Some of the blame for the clunky nature of the bout has to go to Cena, who has never been known as a graceful performer.

One also has to point fingers on The Rock's part-time status as he didn't look his best either. Tearing his abdomen certainly didn't help the quality of the match.

Add to that how predictable the outcome was and the inordinate amount of times each wrestler kicked out of the other's finishing moves, and Cena's title win was one of the least impressive endings to a WrestleMania in recent memory.

Best: Wish Kids on Raw

Even as cheesy and heavy-handed as this moment on WWE Raw was, it's hard to deny its emotional power.

On April 29, fresh off winning the WWE title, John Cena partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to make three kids honorary Superstars. He was genuine and had fun with the segment.

This is why Cena will likely never turn heel. This is both his character and who he is in real life. It was a moment that could make even the most calloused wrestling fan tear up.

If WWE is going to shill something on Raw, a foundation that makes sick kids happy isn't a bad choice.

Worst: Ignoring the Achilles

In the buildup to John Cena's Last Man Standing match with Ryback, much of the narrative focused on Cena's injured Achilles.

How was he going to be able to both fend off the beast that is Ryback and stand up on that aching heel for the victory? On the April 29 episode of WWE Raw, that injury caused him to lose his match against The Shield.

Once the brawl between him and Ryback began at Extreme Rules, it was if both foes forgot about the champ's bad wheel.

Their match was a good one that brimmed with intensity, but failed to capitalize on making Ryback look like a shark made hungry by blood-stained water and adding to the difficulty of Cena's journey to remain champion.

Worst: Three Stages of Hell Choices
Kudos to Ryback, John Cena and the "lumberjacks" around the ring at the inaugural Payback for making the WWE title match better than expected. It wasn't so much the in-ring action that took away from the power of this match but its stipulations.

Upping the violence and intensity of Ryback and Cena's feud was a great idea. The three gimmicks matches chosen for their Three Stages of Hell was not.

In 2001, Triple H battled Steve Austin in a Street Fight, a No Disqualification match, followed by a fight inside a steel cage. That classic was one of the most dramatic clashes in company history. Payback's version went in a more tepid direction.

The stages were a Lumberjack match, a Tables match and an Ambulance match.

Those three gimmicks matches have not produced a ton of great matches and the decision felt like a cop-out. They didn't feel hellish enough to earn the match's nickname and weren't the type of stipulations that would best end this rivalry.

On the positive side, Ryback grew tremendously during this feud.

He morphed from a man who leaned on a catchphrase to a more complex and compelling character. His work on the mic, including a speech atop an ambulance on WWE Raw on May 20, had him in position to be one of WWE's top heels.

Best: Mark Henry Verbal Exchanges

Their match at Money in the Bank was decent, but not nearly as entertaining as their verbal clashes.

What began with Mark Henry's fake retirement speech, saw Henry and John Cena try to top each other with enthralling promos. Henry had more top-notch microphone performances during this short-lived rivalry, but Cena thrived as well.

On July 8, Cena had his best moment when he called Henry "a desperate man who leveraged his family and lied to these all people for leather and gold."

Both men did a fantastic job to play up the importance of winning the WWE Championship and made their title match feel like a monumental meeting of titans.

Best: Defeat at SummerSlam
John Cena's WWE title reign ended in the opposite way it started, with a great match.

The buildup did well to amp our excitement about this match, especially the last verbal showdown between Cena and his challenger on WWE Raw where he showed off why at his best he is one of the top talkers in the company.

Daniel Bryan's moment of glory was soon ruined, but the journey to his victory was one of the best bouts of the year. Cena seemed set on proving he could outwrestle the acclaimed grappler and Bryan looked to prove that he could be as big a star as his opponent.

Cena tried a dangerous move where looked to try a piledriver from the second turnbuckle, proof of how desperate he would become to try and halt Bryan's bulldozing momentum.

The hard-hitting match left Cena with a swollen left eye and ended one of the best SummerSlams ever with a match worthy of the main event.

John Cena vs. The Rock resulted just as we knew it would be at Wrestlemania 29

The Rock vs. John Cena II was billed as Legacy vs. Redemption, and redemption prevailed. However, the match's legacy may have set a dangerous precedent for future main events.

The salient feature of WrestleMania 29's main event was the ridiculous amount of finishing moves that were hit.

Rock Bottom after Rock Bottom, Attitude Adjustment after Attitude Adjustment. Throughout the course of the match, The Rock hit three Rock Bottoms and one People's Elbow, while John Cena gave out four Attitude Adjustments—and a Rock Bottom of his own.

That's eight false finishes in the span of about 10 minutes. If you didn't watch the match to see for yourself, that is way, way too many.

When used properly, a false finish can be an immensely exhilarating moment. Superstars’ finishing moves are built up in the audience's mind to signal the end of a match, so when someone kicks out of one, it can be a pleasant shock.

The problem is that when there are too many false finishes, the audience begins to expect them.

You'll notice that there wasn't a huge pop for The Rock's first Rock Bottom—because everyone knew Cena would kick out.

The result is that these moves have a much smaller impact on the audience than they should. It can also lead to other Superstars looking weak.

Imagine if Cena faces Dolph Ziggler on Raw tonight and hits an Attitude Adjustment after about six or seven minutes for the win. Ziggler will look like a jobber since Rock kicked out of three of them the night before.

It could be argued that it was WrestleMania and a rematch, so it made sense that there would be so many false finishes.

Every year's 'Mania is billed as being bigger than the last, so does that mean that it should take five Attitude Adjustments to defeat Cena's opponent next year?

The overuse of finishing moves hurt the match and has serious potential to hurt Superstars and other main events in the future.

Let's hope it was just an experiment and that WWE recognizes it as a failure.

Cody Rhodes Is a Future WWE Champion

Once Cody Rhodes' run with Damien Sandow is over, he can focus on his true calling: future WWE champion.

Despite his famous family, the former Intercontinental champion has the look, the talent and the drive to create a legacy his father and half-brother never could.

As the son of a WWE Hall of Famer, it would be easy for Rhodes to get lost in his famous father’s shadow.

"The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes was once one of the biggest draws in professional wrestling. Crowds lined up not only to see him wrestle but listen to him talk. He was one of the all-time greats on the microphone.

Cody's half-brother, Dustin Rhodes, was equally good in the ring.

Better known as Goldust, he captured 11 championships in WWE. As The Bizarre One, he came to represent what the Attitude Era was about: pushing boundaries and creating a new and edgier product.

While The American Dream captured three NWA World titles in his career, neither he nor Goldust ever won the WWE championship.

The youngest Rhodes will do just that.

He has the good looks and build WWE loves. But what does this have to do with his wrestling?

As much as fans want WWE to be first and foremost about wrestling, this isn’t true. Like any other business, the goal is to make money.

The WWE corporate website states they have sponsorships with many companies: Burger King, Mattel, Pepsi and Proctor & Gamble, to name a few. This doesn’t take in to account recent deals with Fruity Pebbles and Irish Spring.

Rhodes has that athletic good look that translates well on television. Wider exposure to the mainstream for him translates to more of his merchandise sold and more revenue for the WWE.

“The more popular you are, the more money you make,” CM Punk said two weeks ago on RAW. “The more [the] people cheer for any given Superstar, the more opportunities [they’re] afforded.”

This will happen for Rhodes. But what makes his situation unique is he has the talent to back up whatever push he may receive.

His solid amateur wrestling background gives him legitimacy in the ring. As a junior in high school, he won the Georgia state tournament for his weight class and went on to successfully defend that title the next year.

Behind that talent is also drive.

On ESPN.com, his father said:

"Being a state champion, he had a great drive. And people might look at him and say how he plays quarterback because he's the coach's son, but I've had nothing to do with this. Sometimes I wonder why Peyton Manning and Eli are so good if they're the coach's son. But I just think it's because these kids all have a drive."

In the same article, Rhodes himself states success in the ring has to do with how well one can “play the game.”

And he plays that game well. He’s already won four tag team titles and two Intercontinental titles. Two of those six reigns lasted over six months each.

With Team Rhodes Scholars, he is poised to win a fifth tag team championship.

With all he has wrapped up inside him, he has the best chance to cement his family’s legacy by winning the WWE championship somewhere down the line.

All he has to do is keep playing the game.

Why CM Punk's Title Run Needs to End Soon

photo couretsy: wwe.com
Haven’t we been through this already?

It’s hard to tell CM Punk, with the about face he has done since Raw’s 1000th episode, that he is going to lose the WWE Title.

Isn’t that cutting off your nose to spite your face?

Personally, I love the idea of Punk’s new character. The “disrespect” card is played better by the “Voice of the Voiceless” than most in recent memory. Although he is now the major heel in the WWE, there are those who love Punk because of his loner personality and ability to shock us all with how he blames the former stars of the WWE for not paving the way for him to be the star like a John Cena or Mick Foley, who may have really struck a nerve with Punk two weeks ago.

Again, I love the idea.

But now, there is a situation with the WWE that it is trying to address on the fly. The injury to John Cena has put a kink in the plans for Hell in a Cell and, right now, although the WWE is praying to the wrestling gods, there is no real opponent for the current champion.

Maybe the idea of having Punk lose the title may in fact do better to improve not only the television brands, but it also may help promote other big-name superstars.

I love the idea of Punk and Dolph Ziggler wrestling on SmackDown or the idea of champion vs. champion as we saw between The Miz and Sheamus (even with the interference of the Big Show). Those types of moves by the creative team can only make the product better.

Punk has been a champion for over 300 days, which at the time of his victory over Alberto Del Rio was unheard of given the fact the WWE Title had been tossed about like a hot potato. Amid all that was a period where Punk seemed soft and had “sold out” trying to gain fanfare and support in his matches.

Remember also, this was the man who shocked us all with a tirade we all speak about as a game-changer.

Punk’s M.O. used to be that he was angrier and more deliberate as the man chasing the title. And that theory can only make him a better and bigger superstar if he loses the title, puts over another young star and possibly gains it back at another PPV event.

I would love to see someone like Ziggler beat him, still have the Money in the Bank contract and beat Sheamus, thus unifying the two titles. Just a thought there, if anyone from the WWE is listening.

There is plenty of talent on the WWE roster that needs a push or to be featured more. Kofi Kingston, Ziggler, Antonio Cesaro and, yes, even someone like The Miz could all take the title and run. Whether they are faces or heels, which doesn’t seem to matter anymore in the WWE, it will more than anger the current champion.

It will only make him hungrier.

Because of the WWE’s plans being halted for the time being because of Cena’s injury, this is a great time to try something different. And no, I am not talking about a Ryback championship run.

Hopefully, the WWE can see the value in making Punk champion again by taking the strap and placing it on someone else. In the meantime, we will sit and wait and enjoy the run. But we also would like to see someone else get a shot at trying to create some magic.

When Will CM Punk & Sheamus Lose Their Championships?

315 and 183. Several numbers that seem to have nothing in just the same as one another. Be that as it may at this time they mean every last item for the a few Superstars sitting on the WWE.

As of this composing, CM Punk has been WWE Champion for 315 days, and Sheamus has been Universe Heavyweight Champion for 183 days.

And then the timekeeper continues ticking.

To be respectable, I for one did not anticipate either man's rule to keep up this extended. It's not as if it wasn’t conceivable—both gentlemen are above and beyond fit for of conveying the gold and being respected as convincing champions.

In any case not, one or the other cinch has been kept for this sum of time in a while, particularly without one of the titleholders being named John Cena.

Nonetheless, as we all know, only in light of the fact that you are the top fella does not mean you need to be the champion. This thought dates once again to the tallness of the State of mind Time, when WWE emphasized some of the most gigantic names that the industry has ever perceived.

Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, The Rock—all WWE Legends, and every one worthy of the prevailing occasion on any given night. At the same time when Stone Frigid Steve Austin came to capacity, there was suddenly an additional hugely attractive talent who was particularly over.

Was he WWE Champion? Obviously. Anyhow, did he should be? Not under any condition.

It foremost for Austin to expect the gold to remember create his legacy, but in terms of his for the most part ubiquity and esteem to the fans, every last trace of the fellow had to do was actually appear and they were upbeat. He was in such appeal, that he require not curry endorse with the swarm by being the WWE Champion. His matches still denoted something; his manifestations were still foremost.

In reality the same would be able to quite well be expressed with respect to any of the most gigantic names that WWE has processed through the years, incorporating John Cena today.

John is still the appearance of the group, but when its all said and done does not require the championship to keep up that status.

CM Punk and Sheamus, additionally, were both instantly raised in the eyes of the fans when they won their titles. Punk was sizzling and Sheamus was getting more blazing, but winning the gold was a proclamation by the WWE that every Superstar was additional critical now beyond they were earlier.

Supposed they were great and valuable heretofore? Here was the association's official stamp of support, a comment of understanding by Vince McMahon himself.

Snappy send 315 and 183 days later separately, and both Superstars are still reveling in their rules at the top of the championship store. Following so much time then again, the issue ends up being: Who will possibly unseat them for the titles?

On account of the Excellent White, Sheamus can be tested at the upcoming Hellfire in a Cell by the turning around Huge Indicate, who has chosen that he needs the Planet Title back yet again.

However he is the Globe's Most imposing Contender and not too extended in the past was in a system with John Cena and CM Punk, countless fans are not precisely sold on him strolling at a distance from the pay-for each-view with the championship.

The explanation behind this is that whatever how antagonizing Demonstrate is or how exceptional and commanding that WWE depicts him to be, at the finish of the day he is still the Vast Demonstrate.

You know, the fella who was the vast loveable titan, constantly had a grin on his appearance, pandering to the younger fans? But also we should not neglect the way that his win-misfortune record is not precisely the stuff of legend. The fellow has been bound by unequivocally about most living breathing souls, and now fans are almost always asked to accept that he will unequivocally steamroll over the man who has kept the strap for almost 200 days?

For CM Punk, the possibility of confronting off in opposition to John Cena at Heck in a Cell appears to be being referred to because of John's well known elbow surgery. His recuperation time has been amply wrangled about, and by this focus we’re either talking an additional week or even a month.

Yet although John is thought to be the fella who will face Punk, the reality is that he still does not require the title with a specific end goal to be pushed as the top Superstar in the community. He has been without the championship for truly some time, and his spot as the prevailing fella has not been influenced to any detectable degree.

It does appear a small odd however that he has not recaptured the WWE Championship by now. When its all said and done, in spite of his interior standing in WWE, we as fans are so utilized to seeing him with that title that the fact of the matter is, he would be able to exceptionally well get it once more at any instant.

Obviously that does not mean he ought to. For me, there is more acting piece in Punk being the champion, more storylines that can advance, rather than John keeping the title. Punk's urgent require for admiration while standing in Cena's shadow is a prime case of this, and the truth of the matter is that Paul Heyman could conceivably not be included if Punk were not the champ.

In any case with the expectation that John Cena is in the picture, Punk's keep on the title remains tenuous at ideal, and totally invariably has. Anyhow I for one think that Punk dropping the sash at Hellfire in a Unit is not the right course to go.

For me, it descends to CM Punk versus the Rock. That is the matchup that such a large number of fans need, and regardless of if he wins or loses, it could be a tremendous feather in his top if Punk does face the Individuals' Champion in a WWE Title match.

The prominent assumption has been that extended title rules are helpful for not just WWE but for the Superstars who wear the championships. It carries a level of validity for them and admiration for the outfit as an entire. CM Punk and Sheamus are the consequence of that idea and I accept that they every merit to keep their titles for to the extent that this would be possible.

315 and 183 days and still counting.

WWE Champion CM Punk vs. John Cena : Night Of Champions 2012

In spite of wearing the most exceptionally appreciated prize in the history of games-diversion around his waist, WWE Champion CM Punk requests he has been shortchanged admiration. Around evening time of Champions, The Second City Example of piety will have his opportunity to increase the distinguishment he accepts he's owed when he puts his treasured WWE Title on the line in opposition to John Cena, who himself is eager to recover the spot on WWE's pecking request.

VIDEO: WWE.com Exclusive: WWE Champion CM Punk talks about his issues with Jerry Lawler and facing John Cena in Boston at NOC 12.

Seeing that starting his title rule final November, Punk has resolutely dismissed challenger following a different one. He's discarded Dolph Ziggler, Chris Jericho, Daniel Bryan and Kane—sturdy rivalry, all—and at SummerSlam, he overcame beyond any doubt-blaze first-ticket Lobby of Famers Cena and Vast Indicate, though under doubtful conditions, as per some. Some contend that Punk stole the pin from Cena, while others contend that Punk abused the standards of a Triple Danger Match.

Yet, over the course of his long, 280-in addition to-day title rule—the longest because Cena's 380-day rule finished harshly a part-dozen years in the past—seldomly has Punk had the fulfillment of protecting the WWE Championship in the primary occasion of a WWE pay-for each-view. Alternately, that profoundly desired and lucrative position on top of the card has frequently headed off to the hugely attractive Cena, who notwithstanding his zoom lens-accommodating appeal, has been in a championship dry season after losing the WWE Title final September.

Rightly or wrongly, Punk battles he has unjustifiably taken a rearward sitting arrangement to Cena and been consigned to semi-fundamental occasion status, subsequently. His shock over this and different observed scorns has just developed more clear after Crude 1,000, when Punk stunned the WWE Universe by can't help Cena (who was can't help being struck by Show) and ambushing The Rock. Because then, a darker, more sinister side of The Straight Edge Superstar has apparently brought keep, climaxing with a unprovoked strike in opposition to fan-best Jerry “The Lord” Lawler on the Aug. 20 release of Crude when Lawler won't distinguish Punk as “Ideal in the Universe.” Punk trounced an overmatched “Ruler” the taking after week, following Lawler supported face the champion in a Steel Confine Match.

Putting aside his issues with Lawler, Punk has showed up at times fixated with the thought of getting the Cenation go-to person to surrender that Punk is the finest in the planet. With the certainty befitting a champion, Cena has stalwartly won't, idiom it is part of his DNA as a planet-class contestant to not consider himself as whatever than the greatest.

Punk's goal During the evening of Champions is clear: He presently brandishes the championship gold that implies he's the top Superstar in the planet; on Sept. 16, he’ll have the opening to substantiate it to Cena. However Punk keeps various towering-profile wins over Cena—incorporating again-to-back WWE Title Match triumphs at the previous year's Cash in the Lender and SummerSlam occasions—none of these achievements could have an incredible same effect as besting Cena in Boston, the destination of Night of Champions and a stone's toss from Cena's origination of West Newbury, Mass. Cena conceded as much on the Aug. 20 Crude.

“Depending on if you stroll into Night of Champions the WWE Champion in opposition to me and some way or another leave the WWE Champion, that is the instant that will demarcate your being,” the 10-time WWE Champion rebelliously told Punk.

Strange as it could sound, Night of Champions will be a demonstrating ground for the WWE Champion.

Punk, in any case, should not be apart from everyone else in that respect. On the different side of the comparison is Cena, who has been on the outskirts of the WWE Title scene for the preferable part of a year. In the event that he were to triumph over The Second City Example of piety, Cena could hush any pundits who propose his time has passed. Also, a win over Punk could speculatively either quiets down the verbose champion or render baseless his case that he's the ideal in the universe—likely a welcome improvement for a share of the WWE Universe.

Around evening time of Champions, Punk's extended-stewing loathing in the direction of Cena and Cena's championship eagernesses reach a crucial stage. Which constrain will show more weighty? Can Cena recover the WWE Championship for a remarkable 11th time? Alternately will the clever Punk again slide by Cena on the way to assembling one of the most obviously exceptional WWE Championship rules in the title's essentially 50-year history?

On the Sept. 3 version of Crude, a late bend was included when Punk struck Cena then after that headed off with Paul Heyman! What suggestions will this unique potential union have?

What's known beyond any doubt is that the primary occasion of Night of Champions could be considerably above and beyond simply a matter of “appreciation.”

What Happens If Kane Beats CM Punk for the WWE Title?

For the first time in eight years (more like for the first time since October 10, 2008), the WWE Championship will be decided on SmackDown when CM Punk defends his title against the big, red monster Kane.

Despite WWE's claim that the upcoming match between CM Punk and Kane is the first WWE title match on SmackDown in eight years, the last time the title was defended on SmackDown was on October 10, 2008 (about 3 years, 4 months ago)—when then-WWE Champion Triple H battled Big Show. That match ended in a no contest.

It is interesting to note that the WWE title has only changed hands two times in SmackDown history. On the September 16, 1999 episode, Mr. McMahon defeated Triple H for the title with help from Stone Cold Steve Austin. Then, on the September 18, 2003 episode, Brock Lesnar defeated Kurt Angle for the title in a 60-minute Iron Man match.

Will the WWE title change hands this Friday night on SmackDown?

Before you laugh, I want you to know I don't think it will happen. I expect Kane and CM Punk to end in a no contest after Daniel Bryan hits both men with a steel chair. I expect the usual.

But think about it. Imagine what would happen if Kane were to beat CM Punk for the title on SmackDown.

For one thing, Kane winning the title on SmackDown would shock the world. It would get everyone talking. Anyone who missed the show would feel terrible for missing it and for assuming that nothing game changing or exciting ever happens on SmackDown.

Of course, SmackDown spoilers exist, but even if you knew that Kane would beat CM Punk for the title, wouldn't you still tune in on Friday night to see Kane win? Having Kane beat CM Punk for the title would even help Monday Night Raw's ratings—especially because Raw is live (which means unpredictable). For that reason, having Kane win the title on Friday would likely help ratings for both Raw and SmackDown.

As with anything in life, there are drawbacks to having Kane defeat CM Punk. One drawback is that the shock-factor would eventually wear off, and the ratings would go with it. Another drawback is that the current Daniel Bryan vs. CM Punk feud would become a bit less important with the WWE title out of the picture.

Ultimately, there are many pros and cons to having Kane win the title this Friday. I've only listed a couple of each so that you could list the rest for me.

WWE Extreme Rules 2012: Is It CM Punk's Turn to Lose in His Hometown?

courtesy: sportsencounter.com

CM Punk is not only the best wrestler in the WWE, he is also the face of the company. When you are the best wrestler and the face of the company, you have a championship belt around your waist to justify your position.

If the last two weeks on Monday Night Raw are an indication of anything, Punk and Chris Jericho will once again battle at Extreme Rules. This rematch might surpass the greatness of the first matchup because of the added tension in the feud.

Remember the last time Punk was in Chicago for a pay-per-view? He left his hometown, and the WWE, with their top title. As Punk walked out, the whole crowd was going wild because they knew their hometown hero was doing the right thing. Can you imagine what it would be like if Punk did not leave with the belt around his waist?

Even though Jericho is a heel and John Cena is a babyface, the fans will not boo Y2J the way they booed Cena.

With that being said, the result from the first match should not change. Punk should keep the belt around his waist and move on to a new opponent. The feud between him and Jericho should not continue past Extreme Rules.

If the feud drags on, it will lose its hype, and the fans will complain about redundancy. There is no reason to have three to four rematches because at a certain point, the matches will not keep that same interest level. Just look at how Randy Orton and Cena's feud was from a couple of years ago. It started off hot, but it ended very sour.

You can't end this feud with Jericho being the champion; it would hurt Punk's character, especially after all the ridicule he has been through.

Punk should keep the title because he definitely lost his pride. He will redeem that pride by beating Jericho in Punk's hometown. If Punk loses in Chicago, it will definitely add a ton of salt to all of his open wounds. Punk is the company's top guy and there is no reason to give him the current "Cena treatment."

Not only will it hurt Punk's character, but losing the belt, in Chicago or wherever else, will keep destroying the meaning of the belt.

The attitude era was great for plenty of reasons, but the biggest reason was because one man was dominant with the belt and when he lost it, it meant a lot.

Losing it to Jericho won't mean much because it would probably not stick on him for a while. Y2J is too focused on other things in his life, and he is not going to be fixed into the company like Punk is.

If there is one person in the WWE who should hang onto the belt for a long time, it's Punk.

There is no better way for Punk to come out on top from this feud than to defeat Jericho in Punk's hometown. After all the ridicule and the unleashing of Punk's demons, Punk is going to say enough is enough and come out the victor.

Also, don't be surprised if Punk's family is in attendance at his hometown and he wins in front of them.

However, this is the WWE, where drama drives stories, and nothing will create more drama than seeing the hometown hero, in front of his friends and family, lose the top WWE title to someone who has been tormenting him for months.

Chris Jericho Must Interfere in CM Punk's Title Match at Royal Rumble

There is an exciting scenario creating that may offer us with a key hint about the headline go with at this weekend’s Royal Rumble.

CM Punk, the present champ, was planned for a celebration on Goal 5 at the TD Yard against John Cena in a road deal with. Published on the arena's web page is a concept indicating that this was going to be the last ever go with for Punk rock in Birkenstock boston. The web page easily eliminated the concept.

Now the website has CM Punk experiencing off against Dolph Ziggler with the other top level being Bob Cena vs. Kane.

How does this connect with Royal Rumble?

It possibly indicates that Punk drops his headline at this Sunday’s occurrence and I have a crazy sensation that Bob Jericho is going to be engaged in one type or another.

Y2J has been incredibly silent since his 1/2/12 return; actually he has not said a freakin’ concept. But we all know this is going to modify this Saturday on PPV and the only concern that continues to be is how to create sure he creates a long-lasting impact.

What better way to go back and intoduce himself to all the lovers than to collision the headline go with between Punk and Dolph Ziggler?

Punk is currently on top of the struggling community as he ushers in the new era of the WWE. Yet the excellent thing about the game is that the innovative group does an excellent job of making use of the youthful folks with the ole’ wily masters.

Punk is a youthful guy. Jericho is a vet. The method is all set up.

Whether it is an not guilty misprint or an error that just ruined Royal Rumble, Punk is going down and there is no better wrestler to do the awards than Chris Jericho.
