WWE News: Big Upgrade on The Undertaker Retirement After WrestleMania 28

The Undertaker is definitely getting close to the end of his in-ring career—that much we know.

What we never know, however, is exactly when the legendary entertainer known as “The Phenom” will battle his last go with and also up his footwear for excellent.

Though we have all thought about Taker’s in-ring upcoming, we have not really been given any obvious sign of whether he will stop working after his WrestleMania 28 match with Triple H. Until now.

From the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (via SEScoops.com):

"The Undertaker’s time away from the ring has included surgeries on both his shoulder and hip. He was lighter than ever before when he showed up backstage at last week’s Raw SuperShow, estimated at 275 to 280 pounds.

The belief that he would retire following his WrestleMania XXVIII encounter with Triple H is largely gone since it’s not being hinted. Peers expect him to continue wrestling for a few more years if he’s able to compete once annually."

This is the same factor We’ve been seeing for monthsnow: If there was any probability of The Undertaker going after Mania, never you think that the WWE would be creating a buzz out of it?

I mean, Undertaker’s not some regular punk. He is one of the legendary wrestler in WWE of all times.

Include me among the individuals who never think the Deadman is leaving WWE this season because he’s injured and/or seriously injured, and thus, prepared to trip off into the WWE ring for the last time. The beauty of Taker is that, even if he is in discomfort, he only plays once a season and can put everything he has into one impressive WrestleMania go with.

Undertaker likely acknowledges that he can still promote the organization in a significant way just by doing one match in a year, and he will keep do so until his body can no more manage it.

I would also think that both The Undertaker and the WWE understand that they can still get a few money-making ideas out of each other over the next few decades, such as a WrestleMania 29 experience with someone like Chris Jericho or even John Cena.

We’ll see Taker in the WWE ring to put on a few more memorable moments, and which is excellent for the WWE and its die-hard fans.

HUGE Update on Sheamus: First Ever European to Win Rumble, WM 27 Rematch?

Sheamus made history by wining the WWE Royal Rumble (WATCH) on Sunday and becoming the first Irish-born to win the Rumble. Now he can face either for WWE Championship or The World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania 28, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan are the current respective champions.

The word backstage is that Randy Orton or Chris Jericho was the first pick to win the Rumble but the WWE officials wanted to surprise the WWE Universe and wanted to shake things up before Wrestlemania 28. Sheamus is all set for a major push as he has being entertaining us with his hard word over the past years.

Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan was set for Wrestlemania 27 (WATCH) last year but was dropped and they had a dark match. This year they may meet once again for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Shaquille O'Neal Addresses The Big Show

In a latest appointment with The Rodolfo Roman R / c Show—via WrestleZone.com—Shaquille O'Neal attended to the opportunity of getting again into a WWE band.

After talking about theoretical MMA rounds with Jose Canseco and Choi Hong-man, Shaq was presented the following concern by the interviewer:

"And with pro wrestling, I know you faced off with The Big Show...anything with him?"

The four-time NBA champion definitively answered:

"I'm gonna see The Big Show again."

Although it's been nearly three decades since we've seen Shaq mix it up—last seen as the Raw GM in September 2009—the latest inclusion to In the NBA is the one superstar many WWE lovers factor to as being a normal fit within the squared range.

More so than his real hurting ability—which we've yet to observe in a go with setting—Shaq's larger-than-life individuality dovetails effortlessly with the fat tuesday of caricatures send out on the USA and SyFy Systems weekly.

And when Shaq basically reenters the WWE website, The Big Show—billed as "The Globe's Biggest Athlete"— would be the most ideal challenger for the 7'1" O'Neal. Confirming this is the truth that, besides being actually large, both people have an equivalent tendency for being serious and lively. Certainly, the right substances are there to generate a unforgettable feud.

The two have a record as well, since two and a 50 % decades ago, when Shaq bowled over The Big Present following an altercation in the middle of the band. It is a second that most visitors not only still remember, but would really like to see end on a very big level ideal a heavy conflict between the two behemoths.

Of course, that occurrence is none other than WrestleMania 28.

WWE: Three Months Away, How Is the WrestleMania Greeting cards Forming Up so Far?

WrestleMania 28 does not take position until May 1, but—make no error about it—the highway to the WWE’s largest pay-per-view of the season has already started.

courtesy : wwe.com

Main-event quality wrestlers are beginning to determine themselves as significant newborn people or high heel shoes (I’m looking at you, Daniel Bryan), feuds are beginning to take appearance and suggestions are being lowered that factor toward certain suits developing on the grandest level of them all.

So, now that we’re inching more detailed toward WrestleMania, we must take a look at how the show’s greeting cards is forming up so far.

The Coming Cash in the Lender Go with
Although this gossip has not been verified by the WWE, F4Wonline.com (via SEScoops.com) is revealing that the Cash in the Lender match could be back in WrestleMania this season after going to its self-titled pay-per-view this year.

I really like the MITB match as a show-opener at WrestleMania, so I’d be all for this switch. However, I’m not sure what the actual structure of the match would be.

We’ve seen six, seven, eight and even 10 competition in this match in the last, but I’d individually desire six or eight. It odds which manufacturers the individuals come from, either, because the WWE Set up will likely take position quickly after WrestleMania anyway.

If the WWE indeed makes a decision to carry this match at WrestleMania, though, I’d anticipate the competition to look something like this: Dolph Ziggler, Brodus Clay-based, Kane, Port Sway, Religious, R-Truth, Zack Ryder and Alberto Del Rio.

Zack Ryder vs. Robert “The Situation” Sorrentino (or something along these lines)
If Zack Ryder is certainly not in the Cash in the Lender go with or protecting his U. s. Declares Title, then beware—he may be do something with Robert “The Situation” Sorrentino from MTV’s Jacket Coast.

Well, at least that is the gossip sailing around, pleasantness of the WrestleNewz.com.

While I really, really, really (Did I say, really?) do not want to see this go with go down, we all know that Vince McMahon really likes having superstar engagement at WrestleMania.

So, I did not even be position amazed to see this go with take position.

The Big Show vs. Shaquille O’Neal
I think we could see celebrities interested in two matches at WrestleMania, but I think it’s much more likely that this is the go with that goes down.

We’ve already seen Shaq and Big Show get actual in a WWE group before, and according to F4Wonline.com, Shaq was in interactions at one element for the two behemoths to have a go with on the grandest stage of them all.

I definitely wish this go with comes to being because this is one of the few celebrity/wrestler match-ups that I think could be a tremendous design for the WrestleMania credit charge playing greeting cards.

Intercontinental Name vs. Career: Cody Rhodes vs. Goldust
Goldust has been campaigning for a “Career vs. Title” go with against his real-life sis Cody Rhodes for the last several a few several weeks now, and the WWE finally established to overcome off the feud between the two a several a few several weeks ago.

The significant dilemma I have about this feud is: Will it end with a go with at Respectable Rumble or a go with at WrestleMania?

If the WWE does not hurry this feud and coordinator it at this month’s pay-per-view, then I could see a scenario where Goldust reduces Rhodes from the 30-Man Rumble go with, creating Goldust’s preferred “Career vs. Title” go with at WrestleMania.

Makes sensation to me.

If Rhodes is certainly not going to be contending for the Community Higher quality name at the present (which I do not think he is), then you might as well together with a very high-profile go with like this one.

The Rock vs. John Cena
I’m very sure this go with has been verified for like a season now, right?

This is certainly the top level on the greeting cards, though I certainly do not think it will be the best go with on the present.

The Undertaker protects “The Streak” Against Multiple H
According to the Struggling Viewer Publication (via SEScoops.com), the newest strategy is for The Undertaker to deal with Multiple H in a rematch from last season's WrestleMania.

There is also a opportunity that Multiple H could put his profession on the range or that Shawn Michaels could get engaged as the unique visitor umpire.

I genuinely did not bet on either of those developing, but regardless, I’m still very assured that we’ll see Taker vs. Multiple H again, even if I do not really want to.

After all, Multiple H probably do not take that taken at The Undertaker for no purpose.

WWE Championship: CM Punk rock vs. Chris Jericho
Chris Jericho went again to the WWE two several weeks ago and has not said a concept since then, but the wide-spread anticipations is still that he will deal with CM Punk rock for the WWE Title at WrestleMania.

According to the Struggling Viewer Publication (via WrestleNewz.com), the WWE’s present strategy is indeed for the fantasy game between Punk rock and Jericho to go down on the grandest level of them all.

And I think we all know that the feud itself and the go with should be nothing shorter of excellent.

World High quality Championship: Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton
At one factor, there were programs in position for Randy Orton to win the Noble Rumble (which arises in his home of St. Louis), but his again damage used a wrench into this programs.

Or did it?

From WrestlingInc.com:
According to The Struggling Viewer, authorities have mentioned having Orton do a shock come again overdue in the Rumble, win it and then take a longer period off to cure major into WrestleMania 28.

I still think that is the likeliest result, and that Orton will win the Noble Rumble and go on to deal with Daniel Bryan for the Community High quality Title at WrestleMania.

Bryan has been showing some serious hindfoot propensities over the last two a few several weeks, and I think his expected hindfoot change is being done if you want to set up what should be a extraordinary Group name go with with Orton.

I’d predict those two to definitely divided the property down if time.

Final Thoughts
A lot of components could change between now and WrestleMania time, but I would bank on the credit charge playing greeting cards looking very just like this when it’s all said and done.

This is certainly not a complete credit charge playing greeting cards, because I still think we could see some type of Divas go with such as Kharma, Mrs. Az and Natalya and another impact or two, but this is what it looks like the WWE is creating toward currently.

And I have no real issues about that credit charge playing greeting cards. At all.

There are some really fantastic matches throughout, and at least wrestling-wise, this should be an definitely awesome existing.

Hopefully, though, we will find out in the extensive run exactly in addition in store for us at WrestleMania 28.

Shaquille O'Neal vs. Big Show Will Make WrestleMania 28 Must-Read

WWE adores to utilize superstars to push WrestleMania. Shaquille O'Neal is a mainstream star who happens to be a colossal wrestling fan. It is an ideal marriage of talent and situation, and it sounds enjoy he might be in activity at WrestleMania 28 in a combat with the Big Show.

Shaq broke the news on Wednesday the same time as a radio talk with. Consistent with an article on WrestlingObserver.com, he declared that he is in banters with work a match in opposition to Show. In any case, it makes a point not to state that it is a done bargain, so it is plausible these talks would be able to break down.

Nevertheless, knowing the towering anticipations that every person in the WWE has for the April 1st indicate—which in addition emphasizes The Rock's first singles match in eight years—it is no picnic to envisage Vince McMahon letting this opening pass him by.

We should be trustworthy, who would like to see a fight among a few contenders who are over seven-feet tall? It is an excellent creature match, and those are unfailingly enjoyment. They would not be able to be excellent specialized combat, but the rest of the card will have that.

Shaq is one of the most incredibly charming competitors of the final 25 years. He invariably would like to put on a show for the fans, no matter what he is doing, and he has encounter with WWE even now. He was a visitor accommodate on Raw in 2009 and had a stare down with the Big Show.

WrestleMania was even now shaping up to be a fabulous occasion, with The Rock vs. John Cena and different the reputed matches incorporating Triple H vs. Undertaker and CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho.

When you join an amusement trick match like Shaq vs. the Big Show to the blend, you have a uncommon occasion that the people is determined to go out of their gameplan to view. It is a pleasure spectacle.

Fans of old school wrestling may disdain it since it is simply an affordable ploy to get more mainstream reputation and take off a spot from someone who could be a preferable specialist, but to those folks I could state you should lighten up.

Wrestling, most importantly else, is supposed to be sport. A match emphasizing Shaq and the Big Show could be sport for the reason that they expertise to advertise it. That will get the fans considerably more energized to see it.

As an aficionado of the spectacle of WrestleMania the same amount as the in-ring stuff, I trust that WWE and Shaq do work out a bargain to compose this match happen being as how it can be amusement for the fans to see.

Will We See Triple H vs Undertaker at Wrestlemania 28?

The theory regarding a WrestleMania rematch betwixt Triple H and The Undertaker has at present started.

Triple H came back to the WWE on final week's scene of Monday Night Raw, and however his benefit promo was coordinated at Kevin Nash, it had an absolutely clear center on the man who beat him at WrestleMania 27, The Phenom.

Around the same time as his promo following winning the honor for “OMG Moment of the Year” (for The Undertaking kicking out of the headstone at WrestleMania 27), Triple H constructed a unfathomably striking guarantee:

“Nine months later, The Undertaker is no more. The ‘Oh My God’ moment was at WrestleMania when ‘The Streak’ came to an end.”

Some feel that Triple H dropped this line as a red herring to fling us off when The Undertaker quarrels with another person whenever he completes in the end dividend. At the same time the larger part of fans who viewed this promo now appear to be decently sure that we will get Taker vs. Triple H: Part Two at WrestleMania 28.

Regard me a part of that second bunch.

In spite of the fact that I could want to see The Undertaker dividend for a WrestleMania fight with another person (rather a youthful up-and-comer), I actually don’t see him going up against anybody alternate than a secured veteran when he tries to broaden “The Streak” to 20-0.

When its all said and done, unequivocally check out The Undertaker's final four WrestleMania adversaries, dating the considerable distance back to WrestleMania 23: Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Edge and Batista.

The proposed aren’t four fellows who were looking to build a name for themselves by destroying The Undertaker and close his undefeated streak. The aforementioned are four of the greatest names in the history of the WWE, with one WWE Hall of Famer and several chaps who will one day unite him there.

In this way, for those who declare that The Undertaker will face a climbing star like Cody Rhodes or Wade Barrett at WrestleMania 28, I declare get a load of history then after that grasp that the possibilities of that occurrence are thin to none.

The Undertaker is at the tail closure of his profession, and it appears just as the WWE is running with the topic of putting him in matches in opposition to value veteran adversaries who association officials are sure will transport.

But also yet an additional topic the WWE appears to be testing out is “The rematch,” with first Shawn Michaels and now Triple H taking The Undertaker to the breaking point in their first match as a way of idiom, “Hey, we should have a rematch at the following WrestleMania on account of I ‘almost’ beat you at the final one.”

I could contend that the innovative crew is in all probability running to run with an additional Taker/Triple H match at WrestleMania 28 being as how it forestalls them from needing to raise several newfangled, disconnect quarrels for those fellas. In any case hey, what do I know?

No matter what the thinking behind doing Triple H vs. The Undertaker again, that unmistakably appears to be the course the WWE is going in.

I know some of you are still suspecting that the WWE is attempting to hurl us off by having Triple H specify Taker in final week's promo, but it is safe to say that we are quite set up to give the imaginative group that much credit?

All things considered, it is the same gather of gentlemen that books 90 percent of its heels in the precise same method. It's not enjoy they’re grant-winning authors here.

When its all declared and done, I think we’ll see that they dropped that clue about Taker vs. Triple H on Raw being as how this is precisely what's determined to happen.

The Undertaker Update: Recent Surgery & Return?

The Undertaker has had an additional hip and bear operation after he's been far from the ring. Final year around this time there was question in Taker's strength for WrestleMania but the most recent word is that he's recuperated well and is primed for Miami.

We don't know yet who Taker's adversary is for WrestleMania 28 but word is that it has at present been settled on. WWE officials have reportedly chosen the top a couple WrestleMania matches, combining John Cena vs. The Rock, and Taker's match can be the #2 beat match on the card.

Foley Comments on Rock, WWE & Social Media, More

photo: wwe.com

-Mick Foley has spoke to the Rock Bottom he took from The Rock on Monday's RAW. Foley tweeted on Tuesday afternoon:

"Why did (The Rock) layeth the smacketh down on my candy ass? I just wanted a hug. I bet he's feeling quite a bit of remorse right now."

-The post-WrestleMania edition of WWE SmackDown will tape on Tuesday, April 3rd from the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.

-As we saw on RAW, WWE is prodding their Twitter advancement into overdrive. WWE tweeted on Tuesday:

"DID YOU KNOW?: @WWE #Raw had more social media mentions Monday night than the Top 5 broadcast TV shows COMBINED! trendrr.tv"
"WWE #Raw was the No. 1 program on broadcast and cable TV on Monday's @trendrrtv #socialtv chart http://trendrr.tv/ #BootsToAsses!"

Yet More on Undertaker's Health, WWE Return and Wrestlemania 28

The surmising diversion with The Undertaker carries on.

One day, he's returning soon. The following day, he's never turning around. The day when that, he's evidently funneled brainstorms to get himself again on TV.

Along these lines, what's quite going on with Taker? Well, we still don’t know beyond any doubt. Then again, we do have the most recent upgrade on him and his WWE status going send.

From PWInsider.com (via WrestleNewz.com):

With respect to Undertaker's return, no one within WWE looks for him to again in activity before WrestleMania 28. Taker still isn’t 100% affirmed for WrestleMania but in the event that he does benefit, look for him to once again in promptly 2012 to set up a fight for the huge occasion in April.

I legitimately don’t realize what to think anymore.

Since you peruse this, you perhaps think Taker's not heading off to be once more on TV for an additional four or five months. Additionally, assuming that you peruse this, you might feel that we will see him dividend whenever Survivor Series.

Notwithstanding, we continue getting such a large number of clashing stories on the degree of The Undertaker's damages that its no picnic to know who's right, who's wrong and who's exploding smoke our butts.

Independently, I have no clue which reports are precise and which aren’t. My gut is telling me that Taker won’t be over until the raise for Wrestlemania 28.

The same amount as we’d would give just about anything to see Taker benefit for one irrevocable, long run, I don’t think we need to see him return in the event that he's not 100 percent, assuming that he's not The Undertaker that we’ve developed acclimated to seeing. I’d rather he have one marvelous match at Wrestlemania in opposition to someone like Sheamus or CM Punk than a few forgettable matches on WWE TV.

I think he feels the same extremely.

In the event that Undertaker were perusing this, I’d tell him to hold up until when the Elimination Chamber pay-for each-view to come back, to wrestle at Wrestlemania and afterward ride off into the nightfall with his 20-0 streak sound.

Why did John Cena decide on The Rock?

courtesy : wwe.com

For a couple of weeks on Raw, John Cenaseemed to have both The Miz and R-Truth within proper limits all without anyone else present. Actually, a significant number of parts of the WWE Universe asked on Twitter if Cena even required The Rock as his tag group mate in opposition to Awesome Truth at Survivor Series. WWE.com now poses the concern, does John Cena require The Rock as his tag group mate at Survivor Series or does John Cena need The Rock as his associate for ulterior incentives not yet speculated?

Cena guaranteed he decided on The Rock as his tag crew associate in opposition to “Awesome Truth” at Survivor Series for the reason that he needed someone outside of John Laurinaitis' get so he couldn’t be ruined. Nonetheless, Cena went so far outside the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and Interim Raw General Manager's get that he picked his rival at WrestleMania XXVIII: The Rock. (Note: Yes, we are needed to utilize Mr. John Laurinaitis' full titles whenever referencing him.)

The Rock has the playing point of advantageously having the capacity to scout the Cenation pioneer from one of “The Peoples' Homes” or a film set basically by viewing WWE pay-for each-views and Monday Night Raw. The Brahma Bull hasn’t contended in a match inasmuch as WrestleMania XX, something greater than seven years in the past. The People's Champ has been preparing at his particular private office in Hollywood, at times tweeting photographs from @TheRock. Conversely, Cena contends everywhere on the globe at WWE exist occasions well something greater than 200 times yearly. Survivor Series would be Cena's just risk to scout The Rock – from arm's get – when their legend contact at WrestleMania XXVIII.

The Rock has seemingly the most gigantic personality in the history of WWE. Nonetheless, he just points to himself in the third individual, refering to one of his countless monikers similar to “The People's Champion” and “The Most Electrifying Man in Entertainment.” However, mental planning aside, there's likewise the physical perspectives of The Great One's readiness. Late visualizations of The Rock delineate him as being in the most fit state of his existence. Indeed, he could be more susceptible mentally than physically. What could it do to The Rock's mind provided that he had to stand on the ring overskirt actually feet from John Cena as Cena chose not to tag The Rock in and alternately selected to win the match on his particular? Is The People's Champ rationally outfitted to withstand quite a humbling encounter or could it consume at his unparalleled expectancy for four months?

At WrestleMania XXVII, the Cenation boss was humiliated on The Grandest Stage of Them All when The Miz held his WWE Championship in opposition to Cena emulating a Rock Bottom with the globe looking at (PHOTOS). Will John Cena utilize The World's Most Famous Arena, Madison Square Garden, as the stage to give back where its due and give The Rock an Attitude Adjustment.

The WWE Universe have heaps of concerns but just John Cena has the responses.

5 ways the WWE can keep Cena vs. Rock interesting

The WWE has officially kicked off what will be a lengthy build for what has become the most anticipated WrestleMania main event in years.

This past Monday on RAW, John Cena reached out to the Rock and invited the future WWE Hall of Famer to team up with him and take on the Team of Awesome Truth.

The Survivor Series contest will be the Rock's first match with the WWE in almost a decade, which mildly takes away from the novelty of Cena and Rock's WrestleMania XXVIII main event—but not my much.

In fact, the novelty of Cena vs. Rock will be very difficult to obstruct, but it will take somewhat of a concerted effort from the WWE in order to keep this match as interesting and anticipated as possible come April in 2012.

1. Limited in-Ring Action from the Rock
It's no secret that the Rock will not be back as a full-time wrestler, but more in-ring participation by the Rock at high profile events will help WWE's predominately lackluster buyrates while telling a story leading up to WrestleMania.

Giving fans a taste of what they could see come WrestleMania though special attraction matches featuring the Rock could do wonders for the build up for an already spectacular main event.

2. Build Up More Tension and Animosity Between Cena and the Rock
Nobody wants to see a mutual respect storyline between Rock and Cena. Much of the intrigue in this angle is the war of words between the two megastars, both of whom excel on the mic especially when talking trash.

The Rock's recent Youtube video in which he verbally sandblasted Cena is an example of what the WWE could do to increase tension and animosity between John Cena and the Rock, thus creating a more hostile and electrifying environment by the time they do battle.

3. Increased Social Media Interaction Between the Rock and John Cena
The WWE has gone all in as it pertains to their social media involvement, as Twitter has gone from a recreational tool WWE Superstars used to connect with fans, to an almost mandatory form of promotion used by the company.

The Rock and Cena's Twitter and Facebook accounts should be periodically peppered with comments and messages designed to pump as much intrigue in their epic encounter as possible.

4. Limited Physical Interaction Between John Cena and the Rock
The Rock and John Cena are destined to come to blows sometime before WrestleMania, but these type of interactions need to be kept both limited and meaningful.

There needs to be a logical build before any physical interaction between Cena and the Rock because the more they pummel each other, the less relevant their match will seem as fans will have become accustomed to seeing these types of physical encounters.

There would be nothing wrong with Cena giving the Rock an Attitude Adjustment out of nowhere following their match at Survivor Series to pay the Rock back for costing him the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 27, and every ensuing attack should have similar rhyme or reason.

5. Possible Mini-Feuds for the Rock
Even though WrestleMania XXVIII will be heavily built around their main event match, the Rock and John Cena don't have to hog all the spotlight.

Featuring the Rock in special attraction matches against up-and-coming stars such as Dolph Ziggler would allow fans to get a glimpse of what they've been missing for the past eight years, while giving the rub to the next generation of wrestling talent.

Of course, this type of match would need to be done on a strictly limited basis on big four pay-per-views, but if done correctly, the WWE would be getting a rather large return on their investment in the Rock's return.

John Cena should turn heel now.

John Cena is the WWE's golden child, he is the ultimate babyface character in an era that does not like to define faces and heels. He is the poster boy for everything that this company has become—for better or worse—over the last five years.

However, now would be the perfect time to give him a heel run, even if only for a few months.
His feud with The Rock is about to kick-off in earnest thanks to a Survivor Series tag team match against The Miz and R-Truth. However, the announcement didn't have the level of interest that you might think Rock's return match would.

Perhaps that had something to do with the fact that there was a commercial on Raw announcing The Rock would be wrestling on the pay-per-view, so no one was surprised when Cena made his choice.

Perhaps the feud is running thin right now and something needs to happen to get back the momentum they had at this past year's WrestleMania.

Rock will be appearing on television before the pay-per-view to help build the show, and will likely have some things to say to Cena.

Of all the things that WWE could do to make the Rock-Cena match the biggest and most profitable in the history of the company, the best would be to have Cena turn on Rock at Survivor Series.

We already know that these two men don't like each other, which is why it makes little sense to have them work as a tag team. But when you bring together two people that don't like each other, you are essentially telling the audience that something bad is going to happen.

Sure, WWE just screwed that up by having Triple H and CM Punk work together, but we must not give up hope that Vince McMahon will do the right thing for Rock and Cena.

The biggest reason given for not turning Cena heel is because he does all the promotional work for WWE, and it would be hard to sell the company with such a dastardly heel.

I have always felt that is a cop-out, mainly because wrestling is not like any other sports or entertainment business. You can get away with things in this business that you can't in others.

Cena has played a heel before, when he first started in WWE, so we know that he has what it takes to perform the role. It is just a matter of being able to pull the trigger on the move.

Some of the best angles in WWE history have come from partners turning on each other.

Watch WWE Vengeance PPV 2011 Online in HD

The beauty of a Cena heel turn on The Rock is that it doesn't have to be a long, drawn out move. He can play the villain through WrestleMania and then go back to being the smiling, lame joke-telling, kid-friendly Superman that has been parading around the ring for years.

They did it back in 2005 with Shawn Michaels and Hulk Hogan, and it worked beautifully. That show did phenomenal business because Michaels sold the heel turn, and the fans wanted to see the dynamic between these two men in the ring.

WrestleMania 28 is going to be big, but it could be even bigger if Cena changes the dynamic of the feud and turns on Rock at Survivor Series.

Backstage Update On The Rock's WWE Future, More on Punk and Cena

- Vince McMahon stated during last week's WWE investors conference call that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has agreed to work multiple pay-per-view events. Besides the Survivor Series in November, there is talk that Johnson, barring movie commitments, would be on hand for the big three shows next year—Royal Rumble, WrestleMania and SummerSlam. WWE officials are hoping they can squeeze even more appearances out of him.

- Word is that the CM Punk vs. John Cena match at Sunday's SummerSlam will be given a lot of time, more than usual. Within WWE, it's known that this pay-per-view has turned out to be basically a one match show.

WrestleMania 28: WWE ‘Wasting’ Undertaker Match?, Plans For Triple H Match, Daniel Bryan/MITB

Based on the success of the CM Punk angle and how it has unfolded due to what a source calls “long-term booking”, WWE will be booking more angles and storylines out ahead of time. Based on that, and considering that WrestleMania 28 is now roughly eight months away, WWE is looking to use that philosophy for their PPV. A source describes to me that the reason WWE is building up Mark Henry is to possibly have a match with the Undertaker at WrestleMania. The source told me exclusively that Vince McMahon has “cooled off” on some of the newer talent that aren’t getting over in his eyes in favor of giving the veterans such as Henry a much-deserved push.

As you can imagine, a lot of people backstage are upset that they are considering putting such a pivotal match by the Undertaker at one of his extremely rare appearances and putting him in the ring with Henry. The feeling amongst many is that the Undertaker only comes out of hiding once or twice a year and a match with Henry would be considered a “waste”. It should be noted that when Henry was getting a push back in 2006, WWE was seriously considering having Henry break Undertaker’s streak at WrestleMania 22 when they competed in a Casket match, but the company obviously reconsidered.

As for the obvious Triple H vs the Undertaker rematch — which was heavily hinted on RAW the night after WrestleMania 27 — it was the tentative plan following WrestleMania to have the two men compete once again at WrestleMania from Miami next year, but they are now considering having Hunter face CM Punk.

Regarding Daniel Bryan announcing on SmackDown! last week that he would be cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase at WrestleMania, a source told me that while they are playing that angle on television, they don’t expect Bryan to hold onto the briefcase for that long. The source even insisted that it has been tossed around backstage that Bryan will be the first person to cash in the briefcase and lose. As always, these are very early plans right now and things can change in an instant. This is more of a snapshot of where WWE’s head is at this point.

Whom will CM Punk face at Wrestlemania 28?

Courtesy - wwe.com

CM Punk returned to Monday Night Raw earlier this week, to what many people have said as "way too soon," by standing face to face with John Cena while each held up their WWE Championship.

With that return, there has been a lot of talk about who CM Punk is going to be facing at Wrestlemania, and most of what is being said is that his opponent will be none other than "The Boss" HHH.

Not "The Game" but "The Boss."

It would be a great match, but I think that match would hurt both of those guys as they are flourishing in their new roles (HHH just began his role but will flourish in no time).

This is not, and I really mean NOT, the proper Wrestlemania 28 opponent for either one of these guys. Should it be done? Hell yea, why not?

Should it be done at The Grandest Stage of them All? Hell no!

HHH needs a very special opponent for that night, but there is a time and a place to discuss his match, and that will be tomorrow when my Wrestlemania 28 card is written.

And CM Punk's opponent should be, none other than...The Undertaker. Yes the Deadman, and here is why.

CM Punk has gone on and on about how it "disgusts" him that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is in the main event at Wrestlemania. He complains that it is a joke. So picture this...

The Rock and John Cena in the middle of the ring talking about their upcoming dream match, and they are interrupted by CM Punk. Punk says that the Rock and Cena is a dream match, but ending the Undertaker's streak would make a bigger impact than any "generation dream match."

And the man would be right. Look at the last five Wrestlemania's.

At 23, Batista and Taker was the match of the night. At 24, Edge and Taker was the spotlight (behind HBK Flair), and at 25 and 26, HBK and Taker put on the greatest matches in the history of Wrestlemania.

At last year's Wrestlemania, Taker and HHH put on the battle between the Last Outlaws.

Taker's streak is the hottest thing going into Wrestlemania, and if you want to capitalize on CM Punk's re-rise to the top, then you put him up against the streak, and in my opinion, you have him end the streak.

Finally, this would give Wrestlemania something that it hasn't had in a long time, something it tried to do last year but fell short. It would give the opportunity to have both WWE/World championship matches have NEW SUPERSTARS.

Sure, have a Randy Orton, but have a Wade Barrett, Sheamus, Daniel Bryan, Del Rio or someone else up and coming.

It would give the Championships meaning once again. It wouldn't be about a strong feud, it wouldn't be about someone RKO-ing a wife or girlfriend or someone punting a step-father.

Instead, it would be about up and comers trying to capture the biggest prize in the business.

It would give those championships the meaning that they haven't had in quite some time.

WWE Turning John Cena Heel before WrestleMania 28

Currently the talk is that it's been talked about in the past few WWE creative meetings related to arranging a full fledged heel play with John Cena a few months previous to his WrestleMania 28 match up against The Rock.

Vince McMahon is against this, an individual spoke up at a meeting and said, “Isn’t Cena already a heel when he’s out working with Rock?”

The WWE Champion spoke to Boston.com. Some highlights of that interview:

The Attitude Era vs. Now:
“The Attitude Era was when the fans became teens. The Attitude Era was really generation-specific. I’m not taking anything away from that — it was 18-to-35-year-old males, and now we’re a broader audience, really more like it was in the ’80s.”

WWE All Stars and Andre the Giant:
“The game is unreal. If you just look at the timeline; those people loved the WWE, and they are my age and a little bit older, and they are starting to have family, and all of those young kids are getting interested in the program. He (Andre the Giant) made such an impression on me. He is the one guy that I would have loved to show what I could do.
