The current WWE Champion John Cena pointed out to the WWE Universe's reaction to him last night at the Capitol Punishment PPV (watch). Cena, who is the favourite public figure in the WWE, encountered reactions like no other wrestler as the live crowd fought up against each other chanting "Let's Go Cena" and "Cena Sucks". On Monday morning, Cena made the following comments via his Twitter page :
"The divide between those who stand with us and those who stand against us is becoming more aggressive. I love it. I think it makes for an unreal WWE experience."
On Sunday night, Cena wrestled R-Truth in the main event of the Capitol Punishment PPV. The crowd wasn't cheering for R-Truth they were just responding to John Cena in ring skills. However, last night's unbelievable crowd response takes place to Cena on a regular basis as the WWE Universe is genuinely divided over him.
Cena isn't shaken off by the outspoken dissention against him as he directs it all in stride and feels blessed to be where he is. Despite being the face of the company, WWE fans are started out to be tired of his winning manners any would like to see something more productive with the WWE title. That difference could have been R-Truth last night but WWE creative team decided that R-Truth didn't deserve acquiring the WWE belt. Alternatively we get more conspiracy talk as a kid from the crowd helped caused R-Truth to lose the match after throwing his drink in R-Truth's face.
Whether you love or hate John Cena as a wrestler, beyond the ring ring Cena is known as a standup guy who regularly makes appearances for several charities and causes events. Further, he embraces his status as a role model and maintains himself to a standard that others can believe in.
