The WWE UK title was defended at an ICW show today


     

Pete Dunne who is the WWE United Kingdom champion defended his title at today’s (July 29, 2017) Insane Championship Wrestling Show. It is a surprise as this is the first time this has ever happend.

Well of course he won, Dunne defeated Trent Seven, Wolfgang, and BT Gunn in a Fatal 4-Way. WWE took this to their official website and even saying that they will air this ICW event on-demand service.

To this Dunne said "ICW is one of the top promotions in the world, and I own it now ... just like I own WWE."

Adding to this Cruiserweight Noam Dar also returned to action in ICW.

AJ Styles became the new WWE U.S. champion.

Styles did not only defeated Kevin Owens but also Chris Jericho in the Triple Threat match, who made an surprise come back.



Owens has won the title at Sunday's WWE Battleground PPV, so Styles has a rematch in his bag. These superstars don't need an pay-per-view to continue this bout. Eventually Styles won the title.



The big story here is the return of Chris Jericho which surprised many. With the type of scenario fans would like to see what will happen next.

  • Roman Reigns is penciled in to win the Universal championship at some point but it may not happen at Royal Rumble.
  • Chris Jericho signed a new WWE deal but he's not expected to last longer than WrestleMania 33.
  • The latest on Emmalina is they are holding off on her until after Royal Rumble.
  • Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, and Drew Galloway still have yet to sign new deals with TNA, according to the Observer.
  • Speaking of TNA, it looks like Anthem will be dropping those initials going forward and they will be known as Impact Wrestling.
