Update on Kharma's Return

Following her one-off appearance at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view in January, many fans have been wondering when WWE diva Kharma (a.k.a. Kia Stevens) would make her full-time return to the promotion after taking time off for her pregnancy last year.

And no wonder. The star's formidable presence is desperately needed to rejuvenate WWE's women's division, which has grown stale in recent times due to tepid fan reactions, laughably short matches on TV and lame, throwaway storylines that no one could possibly care about.  

In this week's (subscribers-only) Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer gives an update on her status, noting that she is ready to return and has been for some time, but that the creative team is still trying to come up with ideas for the former TNA Knockout: "Regarding Kharma, she has been ready to return, actually for a while, but with the switch of the last angle, creative doesn’t have anything scheduled for her just yet."

It was heavily speculated that Kharma would show up at last month's Extreme Rules pay-per-view as then-Divas Champion Nikki Bella's mystery opponent, but Layla El snagged the spot—and the title—instead.

The WWE Universe plucked Christian's Opponent.

Wherein Christian kicked off SmackDown by celebrating his freshly won World Heavyweight Championship, Mark Henry, The Great Khali and Randy Orton desired their fortune in the spotlight. To establish which of the three would acquire a opportunity to face the title holder, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long canvased the WWE Universe. Straight to the crowd overpoweringly in favor of paying Orton the chance, Long stunned all in the event that he told the mate would certainly take place later on that same night.

Sheamus def. Daniel Bryan.

However still angered at unloading the United States Championship to Kofi Kingston at Extreme Rules, Sheamus arrived at Daniel Bryan with all guns blazing. Through with Mysterio, Rhodes whacking the WWE Universe, which were passed paper bags to protect their wickedness brought about by Rhodes.

Ezekiel Jackson def. WWE Tag Team Champion Big Show.

Held in a fight between combined heavyweights, Ezekiel Jackson squared off up against WWE Tag Team Champion Big Show. In which fellow WWE Tag Team Champion Kane came to ringside, he was pounced on with the Corre. Soon there after fending off Kane's assaulters, The World's Largest Athlete was seen with a cruel bodyslam followed up shortly with a clothesline from Jackson. After the monumental triumph, Jackson was brutally attacked by his brethren when he took a swing at Wade Barrett within the locker room.

Layla def. Alicia Fox ; Kharma attacked Fox.

After sending out Michelle McCool packing off from WWE at Extreme Rules, Layla passed Alicia Fox a loss. But soon after the friction match, Kharma arrived and addressed, just like she did on Monday's Raw. On this night, it was Fox who experienced the newbie's anger, while Layla looked on in repugnance from edge of the ring.

Sin Cara def. Tyson Kidd.

Sin Cara proceeded to surprise the WWE Universe with his leading ring performance with a victory over Tyson Kidd. Soon after the bout, Chavo Guerrero came on the site and shakes Sin Cara's hand.

Randy Orton def. Christian to become New World Heavyweight Champion.

New World Heavyweight Champion Christian took the air upon SmackDown to celebrate his claim, but he instantly encountered himself having to protect it up against a contender chosen by the WWE Universe Randy Orton. In a strongly competitive round, both Superstars struggled on taking the nail, paying all they possessed, and then some. But as Captain Charisma came dashing down from the ropes, so did his aspiration, as he fell right into The Vipers coils and holding off RKO. The passing was an acid tablet live with and will certainly burn for quite a while for a time.

Michelle McCool says goodbye

As the teardrops eventually discontinued flowing from Michelle McCools eyes in the locker room, the onetime schoolteacher-turned-WWE Diva became reflective. After all, she had grown up having a romance with WWE, something she shared with her dad and "pap pap," her grandfather. Being a Diva was her ambition, and although the route may have started in a seventh-grade classroom where she taught middle schoolers science, the road would finally end where she always told her pap pap and dad shed be someday : in the squared circle ring.

As McCools body hit the canvas in a tough Loser Leaves WWE Match at Extreme Rules with her former best friend Layla, and then a powerful slam to the ring by a debuting Kharma, all those dreams came dashing down her time in WWE was up. The teardrops began to flow a combination of the physical pain she had been enduring for two months and the emotional strain of a dream coming to an abrupt halt.

“My foot has been injured for two months now, broken toe, torn joint capsules, torn MCL. I took a good beating by Layla and Kharma, too. I know I’ll be feeling it tonight, tomorrow and probably the next day,” McCool exclusively told WWE.com. “But I’ll wear it with pride.”

Two Womens Championships and two Divas Championships to her recognition McCool surely has much to be prideful about.

McCools WWE life history started out in 2004, thanks to the WWE Diva Search. During her tenure as a teacher, she saw an advertisement on Raw for the competition. Eventhough teaching kids was her love, working her way into WWE and winning the championship was something she was addicted about, and nothing was going to stand in her way.

“I’ve been doing this for six years now. Love me or hate me, I hope the WWE Universe can respect that night in and night out, I’ve given it my all,” McCool said as the tears again began to flow. “This is definitely emotional, and I’m sure it’ll be like that for awhile.”

Hesitating for a minute to collect herself, McCool did have one last message for the WWE Universe.

“Thank you for the love and the hate. Thank you for being you and for watching. Hopefully I’ll see you around – not in the ring – but maybe someday.”

And as she loaded up her bag for the last time in the Divas locker room, it struck her. She wouldn't be doing the familiar tonight, heading to another city. Shed be heading someplace much more unfamiliar dwelling house.
