He hasn't been seen since The Shield wrote him off TV last year with one of their trademark assaults. There is the usual speculation and question over when he will be back and whom he will be feuding with.
Well, those questions appear to have been answered in part. Per Rob Maxwell over at PWMania.com (via PWInsider), The Undertaker's return is now locked in:
As of this time, The Undertaker is currently locked to make his WWE return on the February 24th episode of RAW from Green Bay. This is the night after the Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View and the same night that the WWE network goes live.
The Undertaker’s appearance should also start his WrestleMania XXX storyline which is still scheduled to be with Brock Lesnar.
That would seem to fit in with a lot of the WWE's current plans. The launch night of the WWE network is supposedly going to be a huge night, and several big stars are expected to return to coincide with the event.
It will be a huge night, and it will really kick off the road to WrestleMania with a bang. It is also interesting to note that plans are still in place for Taker to work a program with Brock Lesnar at the event.
That will no doubt disappoint many people, given the interesting rivalry that looked to have been teased between Batista, Lesnar and Randy Orton. Paul Heyman indicated that Lesnar was hunting for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, but it appears that it will now fail to materialize.
The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar should be able to pull out an excellent program to add serious substance to the card at WrestleMania XXX. Their contrasting styles and technical ability should make for a decent spectacle. The introduction of Paul Heyman into the rivalry will also add further spice and creativity.
Is Lesnar the guy who should be taking on The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX this year? Are you pleased he will be returning? Leave your comments below.
