WWE bookers have been hinting at it for a while.
Roman Reigns is flourishing as a singles star—he’s picked up several victories and even made it to the final two in the Royal Rumble match a few weeks ago. There have also been hints that Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins are fast growing jealous of their friend’s success.
For his part, Reigns seems to be getting fed up with Ambrose’s egotistical and overbearing behavior.
But just when will this heavily hyped—and seemingly inevitable—break up occur?
Well, per Bryan Alvarez in this week’s (subscribers-only) F4W Newsletter, fans could see the three face off at the WrestleMania XXX event on April 6. Although, per Alvarez, this apparently hinges on whether Daniel Bryan gets added to the currently scheduled Randy Orton vs. Batista clash:

"There is talk of Shield doing a triple threat against each other at Mania, but that's only if they don't add Bryan to the main event. They don't want two triple threat matches on the same show. So realistically, whether or not Bryan gets put into that match could determine when and where Shield breaks up."Personally, I’m not sold on the idea of a triple threat between Ambrose, Reigns and Rollins in New Orleans. Or on having the trio split so soon.
At such a major event, the triple threat will come off as an afterthought, no matter how good it is.
With Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker and Triple H all (presumably) playing major roles, is anyone going to be talking about The Shield when the show is over?
Really, WWE should put off the break up for a couple of months—possibly until May or June—so that when these guys do go their separate ways, it gets the attention from the bookers and fans that it should.
