WWE Divas: New girl to debut on WWE European tour?

WWE star/Internet darling Zack Ryder may have unveiled WWE's newest female star on his Twitter account today. You see, Ryder tweeted the European tour program which includes one surprising inclusion—former NXT contestant Naomi Knight.

Participating on NXT's all-divas season last year, Knight (whose real name is Trinity McKay) impressed many with her athleticism, in-ring presence and charisma. Indeed, in a season famous for its awful matches (who can forget the calamity that was Maxine vs. Kaitlyn?), Knight was a standout and most speculated she would easily upstage the current divas on the roster if she were to get called up to either Raw or Smackdown.

Ultimately though, it seems the sex appeal of Kaitlyn (who was also the favourite of management to win the contest) won out and Knight, who prior to signing with WWE in August 2009 had been a dancer for the NBA's Orlando Magic team), ended up coming in second in the contest behind Vickie Guerrero's rookie.

Since then, many have wondered why Knight had not been called back and was quickly sent back to Florida Championship Wrestling. Certainly, it could not have been that she was not in-ring ready (this is the same company that has Rosa Mendes working in regular matches on Raw and Smackdown, after all). Perhaps the creative team was struggling to come up with ideas for her?

Regardless, hopefully the new program is correct in saying that Knight's debut for one of WWE's brands is imminent. Certainly, Knight could add some spice to the current Models vs. Wrestlers feud playing out on Raw and Smackdown right now with Eve, Kelly, Beth and Natalya, whether as a face or heel.
