One of the impressive victories of Mr. Monday Night since his return at WWE Money in the Bank (Watch) is when he stood up against the World Heavyweight Champion on SmackDown. The two Superstats faced each other once again the following week, where Ricardo was still Del Rio's manager - which ended with Del Rio lashed a beatdown on Ricardo.

The veteran ring announcer wasted no time in joining force with RVD by helping him in becoming the No. 1 contender on the Aug. 19 episode of Raw (Watch). The movement of truth is now -  where two of the WWE's established Superstars will face each other with the title on the line.

RVD is on his way to hat-trick by being a former ECW and WWE Champion, but he would only hit it by winning The World Heavyweight title - for him it's both personal and historic. For Del Rio this title reign marks in his second reign as World Heavyweight Champion - he has proved himself in non-title matches. With being in the matches regarding championship title frame since his return, RVD's return has been even more motivated. He has been in Money in the Bank ladder match for the WWE Championship title contract this past summer.

The third piece of the puzzle Ricardo is looking for redemption of his own. RVD wants the gold - will they get what they want at Night of Champions? Or will Del Rio's destiny favor him once more?
