The re-introduction of The Rock (in February 2011) and Brock Lesnar (in April 2012) to the WWE over the last 18 months has had many fans asking one simple question.
Will we see them tangle at Wrestlemania 29?
In August, it will be ten years since their first epic encounter when Brock beat The Rock to win the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Since then, their careers have taken different paths.
Brock became one of the biggest box-office draws in UFC history and The Rock became one of Hollywood's most bankable movie stars.
For different reasons, they've both returned to where it all began and there's been some discussion about what their plans will be for Wrestlemania 29.
I'm going to look at four reasons why they won't tangle at next year's Wrestlemania.
As always, feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments section below and let's get cracking!
1. Rock Won't Risk Being Injured Because of Lesnar's Style
Let's make one thing perfectly clear, this incarnation of Brock Lesnar isn't a wrestler.
He's a totally different beast to the man he was during his first WWE run.
He isn't here to wrestle or make friends. He's a fighter and an ass-kicker.
Lesnar's more aggressive style doesn't suit many of the wrestlers WWE has on their roster, much less a part-time performer like The Rock.
As much as we hate to admit it, Rock is a movie star first and a wrestler second. That's just the way it is.
Rock won't risk any injury by tangling with Brock, which could affect his Hollywood movie schedule.
That's not me having a dig at The Rock because to be quite honest, he didn't have to come back in the first place, but he did and we should appreciate him every time we see him.
2.There Are More Attractive Options for Them at Wrestlemania
When this picture surfaced on the internet in October 2010, it created a hell of a lot of buzz amongst wrestling fans.
We wondered if we could see Brock Lesnar tangle with The Undertaker one more time.
Their feud in 2002 included one of the bloodiest, brutal, violent and physical Hell in a Cell matches that I can remember, but Lesnar came out on top.
Right now, Lesnar's still in the prime of his career.
He's only 34 years old, so realistically, he could still have another two to three years left if there are no further complications with his diverticulitis.
On the other hand, The Undertaker doesn't have many years left.
Time is catching up with "The Phenom" which isn't a surprise when you consider what he's put his body through in the last 22 years.
The one thing that makes this feud likely is the fact that WWE hasn't got any other viable options for Undertaker at Wrestlemania any more, apart from John Cena or Brock.
No other superstar is at the level of the Undertaker and there may be no greater threat to his Wrestlemania Streak than Brock Lesnar.
The Rock's also got options at Wrestlemania including potential matches with John Cena, Randy Orton or CM Punk, but each of those depends on the next slide.
3. The Rock Wants to Be WWE Champion One.. More.. Time
Raw 04/02/12 - He Claims He Will be WWE Champion Again!
The Rock promises the WWE Universe that he will be once again the WWE Champion!
After his epic Wrestlemania match with John Cena this year, The Rock came out the next night on Raw and said that he had one thing left to accomplish: he wanted to walk down "that aisle" as the WWE Champion once again.
We can pretty much take it as a given that The Rock will be WWE champion again at some point in the next year.
Does he deserve it? In my opinion, he doesn't need it and because he's only had two matches since 2004, he probably hasn't earned it, but this is The Rock.
He's the biggest cross-over star that the WWE has ever created.
Even John Cena, as much of a star as he is, can only dream of the success that Rock has had outside of the ring.
How will it happen? My guess is Rock wins the title before Mania and walks in as champion to face John Cena.
Rock then loses the match, and consequently the belt to Cena, putting him over.
Simply put, The Rock will be WWE Champion again and I don't think that Lesnar needs or wants it.
4. We Won't See Rock or Brock Wrestle Again After Wrestlemania 29
t's a fair assumption to make that neither Rock or Brock will wrestle again after Wrestlemania 29.
Brock doesn't like the hassle of traveling to shows and everything else that comes with being a WWE superstar.
Rock on the other hand is a movie star and as sad as it is, he's no longer interested in wrestling full-time and nobody can blame him for that.
Both men have accomplished everything they need to do in this business and there's nothing left for them to strive for.
People might say that they need to give back to the fans. These men have already worked full-time WWE schedules so they've paid their dues.
The main reason why they won't face each other is because they're both likely to leave when their contracts expire.
Remember the last time that two wrestlers leaving the company faced each other in the New York area?
It was Lesnar vs Goldberg at Wrestlemania 20 and the match stunk the joint out because the fans knew they were leaving.
I don't see Rock or Lesnar wanting the same reaction, so it's a safe bet that Rock vs Brock will not happen at Wrestlemania 29.
