According to WrestlingNewsWorld.com, Lesnar was reportedly upset with Cena’s post-match promo because he was told prior to the match that Cena would win but have to be stretchered out of the arena, and he went nuts as a result.
Reports of Lesnar flipping out backstage have led to speculation that there is already tension between him and WWE, and that his future with the company could be in jeopardy.
But now we’re learning that Lesnar’s backstage tirade may have at least partially been a work.

As we’ve been reporting here on the site, Brock Lesnar did throw a tantrum backstage after Extreme Rules, f4wonline.com is reporting that it was partially a ‘work’ on the locker room as a way to convince people that Cena going over was the right decision. Lesnar was upset about the finish, but “some, if not most” of the situation was not entirely legitimate.
WWE tried to have word leak out on Monday that Lesnar had quit the company, likely to get the “dirt sheets” reporting it so people would be surprised when Lesnar showed up on RAW. However, by the time that this was going on, it was already out there that Lesnar was at the arena and going to be at RAW.

It’s no secret that Vince McMahon loves trying to swerve the Internet, but staging a temper tantrum for Lesnar?
Come on, that’s a little ridiculous.
I honestly don’t know who or what to believe in this situation, and truth be told, I really don’t care. Whether it was a work or shoot, I don’t think anyone ever seriously believed that Lesnar was just going to walk away from the WWE and all the money that came along with it.
This reminds me of what we saw with CM Punk’s great promo last summer and The Rock’s infamous “wrist notes” earlier this year.
They created a huge buzz because they blurred the line between what is scripted and what is real, and that’s exactly what the WWE is going for.
I really wouldn’t have blamed Lesnar for being upset if creative’s plans changed without the staff informing him, but at the end of the day, this is not going to have a huge effect on the WWE going forward.
We all know that pro wrestling revolves around making things that are actually scripted come off as legitimate, and whether Lesnar’s blowup was scripted or not, he isn’t going anywhere.
