On the April 23, 2012 edition of WWE Raw (WATCH) Edge made a surprise appearance for WWE fans as he confronted John Cena about his Extreme Rules match with Brock Lesnar.

During 2006, Edge and John Cena competed in a nearly year-long feud that included several matches and moments with each other. Edge reminisced about this during his talk with Cena and it helped fans remember their great feud.

Starting in January of 2006, the top five moments of their rivalry included intense matchups, confrontations and surprises.

Edge's Money in the Bank
Edge was the first ever WWE Money in the Bank contract winner, so no one knew what to expect as he carried the contract for several months following Wrestlemania 21. The "Ultimate Opportunist" decided the best time to cash in that briefcase was following John Cena's victory in an Elimination Chamber match at the New Year's Revolution PPV.

As the chamber lifted from the ring, Edge speared Cena twice and pinned him to win his first WWE Championship. This moment started the long feud between the two stars.

ECW Spear
Edge lost the title to Cena a few weeks later and Cena would go on to face Triple H at Wrestlemania 22. While Edge focused on a hardcore rivalry with Mick Foley, fans slowly about the Cena feud until the main event of ECW's One Night Stand.

Edge came out dressed in motorcycle gear, speared Cena through a table and allowed RVD to pin him and win the WWE Championship. For the next months, Cena, Edge and RVD would wrestle in multiple matches for the titles.

Cena's Dad Slapped
Before Edge and John Cena wrestled at the 2006 Summerslam PPV, Edge took a short visit to John Cena's father's home. After trash-talking Mr. Cena, Edge slapped him across the face and aded more fuel to fire between the two.

Summerslam Showdown
One of the best matches between John Cena and Edge was at the 2006 Summerslam. The match had great in-ring psychology as Lita interfered multiple times and Edge couldn't get disqualified or he would lose the WWE Title.

After the long battle, Edge managed to sneak brass knuckles into the match, punch Cena out and pin him for the victory. Even though it was Cena's home crowd, the audience heavily favored Edge in the match.

TLC Finale
The final battle in the 2006 feud between the two stars was the Vengeance PPV. In a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match, both wrestlers clobbered each other with a variety of weapons. The highlight and often seen video package comes during the climax when Cena delivered the Attitude Adjustment to Edge and sent him crashing through multiple tables set up in the ring. This match is still one of Cena's best today.
