The session started with CM Punk entering the ring for the third time to take on the World’s Strongest Man. It should be noted here that their last two encounters ended in No Disqualification decisions since CM Punk was either interrupted by Y2J or he lost his temper and bashed Henry brutally with weapons. However, this time, Punk played fair and he defeated Mark Henry straight. Unfortunately, for Punk this was not his best moment of joy. When Punk was announced winner, he stood up with pride just to listen to Jericho’s squeaky voice congratulating him. Jericho was on the screen telling Punk that he is now moving towards the same life his father has had, of an alcoholic. As always, Jericho’s nasty comments on Punk’s family made the champion furious but Jericho did not stop.
He went on and told everyone that just 2 hours before the show Punk was in a pub nearby having alcohol. Even though Punk did not want to, he felt compelled to explain the situation. According to Punk, he was at the pub with his friends eating fish and chips. Jericho countered Punk’s statement saying that he could have had the same meal at any other restaurant but he wanted to be surrounded by alcohol that is why he was at the pub.
Before he vanished, Jericho told Punk that their match at Extreme Rules would be a Chicago Street fight. The news delighted Punk, as he told Y2J that his family will be present there and he would love to beat the hell out of Jericho in front of them. While Punk wanted to continue, Y2J disappeared and the WWE Champion was once again left enraged. This is probably high time for Punk to teach Jericho his limits and if he cannot then he will fail at Extreme Rules.
