Last night’s WWE Raw was live from the Joe Louis Arena here in Detroit and featured the contract signing between Brock Lesnar and John Cena. The two did not get physical with one another during the signing.
This was the second attempt to have the contract signed as Lesnar was not in the building at the beginning of the show when Cena was ready to sign. This brought out Edge, who gave Cena a pep talk, saying he had to beat Lesnar at Extreme Rules. Meanwhile, Chris Jericho tried to prove WWE Champion CM Punk was drunk with a field sobriety test inside the ring with two uniformed police officers. Punk played drunk before attacking Jericho. Finally, Randy Orton kidnapped Kane’s father Paul Bearer as payback for last week on Smackdown. Kane played it off like he didn’t care and Orton hit the ring and the two brawled until Orton clobbered Kane with a lead pipe, leading to Kane retreating into the crowd. -Chris Jericho defeats Kofi Kingston via submission.
-Lord Tensai defeats R-Truth via pin fall.
-Intercontinental Champion Big Show and The Great Khali defeat Cody Rhodes and Alberto Del Rio via pin fall.
-Nikki Bella defeats Divas Champion Beth Phoenix via pin fall in a Lumberjill match. Phoenix seemed to have suffered a legit ankle injury during the match.
-Mark Henry defeats World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus via pin fall in a non-title match with guest referee Daniel Bryan made a fast count. After the match, Bryan locked on the Yes Lock on Sheamus.
-United States Champion Santino Marella and Zack Ryder defeat Tag Team Champions Epico and Primo via pin fall in a non-title match.
-Brodus Clay and Hornswoggle defeat Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger via DQ when Vickie Guerrero interfers.
