Raw Recap 11/7/11 : WWE Diva's, They Want Their Gimmick Back!

Raw from Liverpool, England appeared to take a shot at paper, but in execution, fell level. A fantastic break from the standard a few moment tag crew matches, the previous evening Raw alternately offered an in-ring portion positioned around Kelly Kelly‘s divulging of her late Maxim magazine blanket. With the Divas seldomly getting mic time, this portion would be able to have propelled the storyline, prodding the upcoming Eve vs Beth title match or setting something up for Survivor Series, alternately it didn’t totally perform anything. Well, it composed this author yearn for LayCool, but that would be about it.

Let’s watch:

We see Kelly with a tremendous smirk on her challenge strolling to the ringside dominion, and she has exceptional purpose behind the grin—she's on the spread of Maxim! As Jerry Lawler presents her as his “best liked Diva” (hmm, we’re sensing a plan: The Kat, Trish, Kelly turns out to a huge adulation from the swarm. (Form sidebar: I’m not feeling Kelly's dress.)

Kelly starts giving us an Oscar talk about acting like an adult in front of the WWE Universe and having her ups and downs. That would be fabulous, Kelly, but this isn’t a retirement talk. You’ve still stretched out beyond you. Unequivocally indicate us the spread!

Obviously, you can’t have quite an euphoric instant for one Diva without an additional smashing the gathering. Actually, construct that a few, as out come Beth Phoenix and Natalya taunting small Kelly and calling her a Barbie doll. Kelly's comeback? “I wouldn’t intrude on you depending on if you were on the spread of National Geographic”. Womp.

Beth declares that Kelly being on a magazine blanket is a false impression of what it takes to be a Diva. “A WWE Diva is something greater than simply an all around appearance and a bucketful of perkiness”. Beth and Natalya try to corner Kelly and tell her its “shout time”. On the other hand, before they can lay a hand on K2, out come Eve and Alicia Fox (Fashion sidebar: Alicia looks furious), making the recovery, as the Divas of Doom escape the ring.

Alicia & Eve tell Kelly that this is her instant, not Beth and Natalya’s, disclosing her spread for all to see.

Musings: Two statements: Not astounded. I’m not awed by the course that WWE has taken Beth and Natalya, having them appear to be a LayCool tribute act, deriding Kelly as they descended the slope. I’m sad, but I actually don’t purchase it. Layla and Michelle McCool were excellent at what they did in light of the fact that they had the pretentious heel schedule under control. Beth and Natalya are not affected heels. They are physically antagonizing, break-a-b*tch-depending on if-she-checks out-you-wrong heels. In any event they ought to be. The theatrics that WWE had Beth and Natalya do as they descended the slope fell level, assuming that you inquire. I actually don’t think that this is the bearing these elements might as well be going in. I much inclined toward the second part of Beth's promo, discussing how magazines blankets and so forth. give a false representation of what a Diva might as well be. It felt more “accurate” to their elements.

Contrasting this with the Christy Hemme Playboy divulging in 2005, this portion needed. Trish Stratus had the appeal and pizazz to totally put a verbal hurting on Christy (as well as a physical one), but none, of these Natalya or Beth are Trish on the mouthpiece. That would be not a thump on them, since the Divas can’t get preferable unless they’re given more mic chance to enhance, but it unequivocally didn’t have that wit to it in the same route as Trish had, nor did it tick the “annoyingly heel-ish and pretentious” box like LayCool.

I could have taken every available opportunity to see Beth cut the second part of that promo, then afterward have them physically threaten Kelly, possibly put her in that stretch accommodation until Alicia and Eve made the recovery.

I adore Beth and Natalya, but WWE appears to be absent the pontoon on what the aforementioned elements ought to be.

Notwithstanding what about Eve's title shot? No notice of it whatsoever the previous evening. They could’ve done something with Eve and Beth to tease their title match, for example Eve & Alicia making the recovery, and afterward Eve and Beth having some sort of dispute.

Cryssi could be once more following week, but for this week… Melanie out!
