The Miz has had a very tumultuous run in WWE over the last year. He was booked so badly as WWE champion that fans lost all interest in him as a real heel, but there is no reason that he shouldn't be one of the top baby faces on.
Let's be clear right off the bat, the fact that Miz failed as a heel WWE champion has nothing to do with him, rather the way that he was booked creatively. He was never made to look like a real threat against guys like Randy Orton and John Cena, and his only clean wins in championship matches came against 61-year-old Jerry Lawler.
Miz has the ability to be a great heel because he is a great talker, but his physique and style of working would make him a shoo-in as one of the best baby face characters in WWE.
He has never worked as a baby face, at least not officially, during his five-year run in WWE thus far. But it's not that difficult a thing to pick up. Working as a baby face only requires great facial expressions when you are getting beaten on by a heel and knowing when to make a comeback, which should be easy for Miz to learn with some time.
The only thing really holding back a Miz face turn is the fact that there are no really good heels on WWE right now. There are plenty of guys with the potential to be great, but they are booked to look like dorks or used simply for comedic purposes.
Plus, Miz is already a great company man. He goes out on promotional tours all the time, appears on late night talk shows and always says positive things about WWE in interviews.
