Is really CM Punk the 2.0 version of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin

The Attitude Era was the greatest era in professional wrestling history. WCW made the era even better because the "Monday Night Wars" was probably the funnest thing fans could experience.

Now, the WWE has gone through many changes. They had their basic phase where it wasn't bad, but nothing special, then their PG phase while Linda McMahon was running for senate and now this new thing with CM Punk being the "rebel" appears the be creating a new type of attitude era, which could be labeled as "Attitude Era 2.0."

CM Punk is an amazing in-ring performer that makes the fans want to watch. He cuts some of the greatest promos in the history of the business, and he is making himself extremely marketable.

He let's no one tell him what to do or how to do things. There is no filter on his mouth and he will say what he pleases. He also has a problem with authority.

Sound familiar?

The Texas Rattlesnake, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin was the original version of what CM Punk is now becoming. It is quite funny that CM Punk was even wearing a Stone Cold shirt when he cut his epic promo in Las Vegas, Nev. in late June.

John Cena is the new-age version of The Rock and CM Punk is the new-age Stone Cold.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin said that he is in good enough shape that he could indeed wrestle again. Could this whole corporate storyline against CM Punk be setting up to where CM Punk wrestles the mystery GM at WrestleMania and it winds up being Stone Cold?

Punk is jealous that Cena gets his match with The Rock, so that is really why the possibility of it being Stone Cold is starting to make more and more sense.

Will the WWE continue to bring in legends and eventually set up a CM Punk vs. Steve Austin showdown, or is this only a dream? Keep tuning in every Monday night to find out!
