Booker T Says Matt Cardona Was Given a “Raw Deal” and Deserves Another Shot in WWE

 

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T expressed support for former WWE star Matt Cardona (formerly Zack Ryder), suggesting he was treated unfairly during his first WWE run. Booker spoke positively about the TNA-NXT crossover and said that Cardona “might have got a raw deal his first time around.”

Since leaving WWE in 2020 after a 14-year tenure, Cardona has worked periodically with TNA and remains technically a free agent. He’s slated to return to the NXT ring soon in a singles match against Josh Briggs. Booker hopes to see Cardona earn a more permanent spot in WWE going forward.
