As AJ Styles has defeated Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn at Royal Rumble (complete result) in a 2 on 1 Handicap match and Shinsuke Nakamura winning the 2018 Men’s Royal Rumble Match this past Sunday. Both men have set their eyes on The Grandest Stage Of All at Wrestlemania, where these two men will face each other. It would be interesting to see how this new feud will unfold on this episode of Smackdown.
Also, the United States Champion Bobby Roode who also secured his US title and The Usos who retained their Smackdown Tag Team title at the Rumble - it will be interesting to see who will be the next on the line to step up and face the champion in future leading to Wrestlemania.
Ronda Rousey who indeed stunned the WWE Universe at Royal Rumble and made it clear that she is heading to Wrestlemania more to follow on these events as Smackdown rolls on tonight.
Complete result and review: The show begins as the winner of 2018's men's Royal Rumble winner - 'The King Of Strong Style' Shinsuke Nakamura makes his way to the ring. He takes the microphone and stands in the center of the ring as the WWE Universe chants his name. He spoke how he eliminated other Superstars with knee-to-the-face at Royal Rumble and at Wrestlemania he will surly deliver AJ Styles with knee-to-the-face and become the WWE Champion.

Just then music hits and Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn makes their way out to the ring and they spoke how they were cheated by the WWE referee and they are not the first Co-WWE Champions. Then Zayn talks about how Styles pin the wrong men at the Rumble and Owens talks further saying that they should face Styles at Wrestlemania again instead of Nakamura. Nakamura then cleared the air by saying that Styles is the winner and Owens and Zayn are losers.
Styles music hits and he comes out and talks about the dream match which will happen at Wrestlemania between him and Nakamura. Further, he adds saying that how about turning this dream match at Wrestlemania into a dream team tonight on Smackdown by facing Owens and Zayn.
Owens and Zayn step out of the ring and says that this match will not happen - just then Styles and Nakamura attacks them.
After the commercial, Owens, and Zayn meet Smackdown General Manager Daniel Bryan who makes the tag team match official for tonight. He also makes an Owens vs. Zayn for next week and the winner will get an opportunity to face Styles for the WWE Championship.
Match 1: Kofi Kingston vs Rusev vs Jinder Mahal vs Zack Ryder (Winner will get opportunity to face Roode for the US title)
The match starts all four men attack each other. Later Mahal and Ryder in the ring, Ryder throws Mahal out of the ring then Ryder jumps on him. Kingston too jumps on them later. As Rusev was about to jump on the other three competitors, the other member of New Day Woods and Big E, The Singh Brothers and along with Aiden English started a havoc out of the ring, the in-ring official had to send them backstage due to the confusion.
The action continues after the commercial, in the ring Kingston delivers a boom-drop to Ryder, Mahal attacks Kingston - Rusev enters the ring and attacks Kingston. Mahal gets up and attacks Rusev and tries to pin Rusev and ends up unsuccessful as Rusev kicks out. Then Rusev attacks everyone and holds Kingston in a submission hold as Kingston taps out.
Winner: Rusev.
After the match, Rusev leaves the ring an stand face to face to Bobby Roode and leave.
Backstage: Breezango was seen with The Ascension which was interpreted by Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable. Breezango mocked Benjamin and Gable as they had lost to The Usos at the Royal Rumble. Quickly match was made for later tonight where the team of Benjamin and Gable will face Breezango.
In the ring: The Usos makes their way out to the ring and they talk about their will at Royal Rumble and the list of Tag Team they defeated to retain the Smackdown Tag Team titles they are holding and leaves the ring saying that they are the best tag team even in WWE.
As The Usos leaves The Bludgeon Brothers (Luke Harper and Erick Rowan) music hits and they make their way out to the ring and stares at the Tag Champions as The Usos leaves.
Match 2: The Bludgeon Brothers vs Local Competitors.
As the bell rings The Bludgeon Brothers attack the local competitors and pin them for a quick victory.
Winner: The Bludgeon Brothers.
Backstage: Shane McMahon was seen talking Tye Dillinger regarding his incident at Royal Rumble which was interpured by Baron Corbin, as Owens and Zayn were handed another WWE Championship opportunity by Bryan. Shane said that he will definitely have a personal look at this matter.
Shane then made a match where Dillinger will face an angry Corbin tonight.

In the ring: Smackdown Women's Champion Charlotte makes her way out to the ring as Renee Young asks her about how she felt about the Women's Royal Rumble match. Charlotte spoke about the moment where she was in the ring with Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss, Auska and Ronda Rousey, where she became the internet buzz as she will be heading to Wrestlemania.
The Roitt music hits and they make their way out to the ring and attacks Charlotte. Charlotte then attacks them and throws them out of the ring, The Roitt again enters the ring and attacks her and leaves.
As The Roitt leave the ring, Miss Money in the Bank Carmella runs to the ring with a referee to cash-in her briefcase. The referee trips and falls as Charlotte gets up, Carmella picks her briefcase and runs away.
Backstage: Styles and Nakamura plan strategy to face Owens and Zayn at the main event tonight.
Match 3: Tye Dillinger vs Baron Corbin
As the bell rings, Dillinger kicks Corbin, Corbin rolls out of the ring. Dillinger too goes out and attacks Corbin and throws him into the ring and continues to attack him further. Corbin then gains control of the match and continues to attack Dillinger and throws him out of the ring.
After the commercial, Corbin is still seen attacking Dillinger. Dillinger then delivers and bicycle kick to Corbin. Corbin gains control and delivers and chokeslam back-breaker to Dillinger along with The End Of Days and pins him for victory.
Winner: Baron Corbin.
Backstage: Owens and Zayn were seen in silence in the locker room. Zayn then broke the silence and said one of them will get an opportunity to win the WWE Championship next week but they got each others back tonight.
Match 4: Breezango (Fandango and Tyler Breeze) vs Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable
The match starts Benjamin was seen attacking the arm of Fandango. Gable tags himself and continues to attack Fandango as Gables put more pressure on Fandango's arm and strikes him. Fandango tags Breeze, Gable tags Benjamin and the team of Benjamin and Gable delivers double team powerbomb and pins Breeze for the win.
Winner: Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable

Match 5: Shinsuke Nakamura and WWE Champion AJ Styles vs Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.
Owens and Styles square off to start the match, Owens attacks Styles and tags Zayn. Styles gets up and tags Nakamura. Then Nakamura attacks Zayn and then tags Styles. Zayn quickly gets Styles in a head-lock, Styles breaks the lock and kicks Zayn and tags Nakamura. Zayn quickly takes Nakamura to his team's ring corner and both Owens and Zayn continue to attack Nakamura. Zayn then tags Owens. Owens delivers chest-chops to Nakamura, Nakamura then attacks Owens.
Zayn then enters in the ring only to be thrown out by Nakamura. Ownes goes to tag and finds Zayn lying on the floor and gets angry on Zayn by telling him to get in the corner for the tag. Zayn too gets angry and leaves the ring and makes his way out to the backstage.

After the commercial, Owens was seen attacking Styles, then Zayn comes to help his friend. Zayn gets the tag and he continues to attack Styles. Owens then demand Zayn to tag him, Zayn give a hard hand tag to Owens. Owens enters and attacks Styles, Zayn then demands to get the tag, Owens slaps a tag to Zayn's chest. Zayn enters and gives a hard tag to Owens again as Styles tries to pin Owens from behind as he kicks out. Zayn leaves the ring again in frustration.
Styles then pins Nakamura, as he enters he delivers a kick to Owens, Nakamura then sets to kick Owens again. Owens tries to run away from the ring. Styles runs after him and catches Owens and throws him in the ring. Nakamura then delivers Kinshasa to Owens and pins him for victory.
Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura and WWE Champion AJ Styles.
Backstage: Zayn was seen in an interview where he said "I've been known as Owens best friend but after NEXT WEEK... I will known as the guy who BEAT Owens!". Zayn also stated that their friendship is not over as it is about the WWE Championship opportunity now and Owens knows it too. Zayn then said, Owens has won many championships in WWE and it is he who is always being over looked as it is his time to shine now.
