Over the past few weeks, there has been an onslaught of rumors surrounding the possibility of Kurt Angle returning to WWE.
It has been confirmed by Angle that he has spoken to both Triple H and Vince McMahon about a return. For a minute, the rumors cooled. However, the July 4th edition of Monday Night Raw has people talking again.
According to a report from DailyWrestlingNews.com, WWE has some big plans for this week’s Raw and intend to celebrate America’s Independence Day as only WWE can.
WWE has announced that Raw will have an appearance by a former General Manager of SmackDown. The past few weeks have seen Teddy Long and John Laurinaitis return to help hype the upcoming brand split.
Their cameos have been brief, but they’ve been effective for selling the WWE Draft. The rumor is that Angle’s return would not only be appropriate for the Fourth of July, but he is a former SmackDown GM after a brief run.
