Mick Foley is unquestionably among the most popular and well-respected Superstars in WWE history and he will take his rightful spot beside professional wrestling's immortals when he is inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame the night before WrestleMania XXIX.

According to Anthony Sulla-Heffinger of the New York Post, sources are reporting that Foley will indeed be named a Hall of Fame inductee.

Rumors have run rampant regarding Foley's status as a potential entrant into the Hall of Fame this year due to the fact that he is a Long Island native and WrestleMania XXIX is taking place in East Rutherford, N.J.

It appears as though those rumors have come to fruition, as the Hardcore Legend will finally get his due.

The induction ceremony itself will take place on April 6 at Madison Square Garden, so Foley is an obvious choice. He has often told stories about attending WWE shows at MSG as a kid and he can even be seen in the crowd during the iconic steel-cage match between "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka and "Magnificent" Don Muraco in 1983.

Foley is a three-time WWE Champion, eight-time Tag Team Champion and was the first Hardcore Champion in WWE history. He is also well-known for his various personas, including Mankind, Cactus Jack and Dude Love.

Many believe that Foley's WWE Championship win on a January 4, 1999 edition of Raw turned the tide in WWE's favor during the Monday Night Wars.
