Ring Announcer Lillian Garcia to Be Inserted into a Feud with Natalya?

For more than a decade, the superstars of the WWE have made their way down to ringside before their matches with longtime ring announcer Lillian Garcia introducing them to crowds all across the country.

Due to an incident on the current overseas tour by the WWE, could we see the current Smackdown announcer set into the ring and get involved in a feud with one of the Divas on Friday nights?

From WrestlingInc.com:

WWE conducted an angle at Friday's SmackDown house show at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast, Ireland where ring announcer Lilian Garcia nearly came to blows with Natalya during a heated confrontation. Fed up with the third generation wrestler's shabby treatment of her, Garcia aggressively shoved Natalya's jacket back at the SmackDown Diva following her loss to AJ.

During her career as ring announcer for the WWE, Garcia has been known to get involved in the action over the years in addition to being inserted into some minor storylines with different superstars.

In her most notable appearance in a storyline in her first run with the company, Garcia had an on-screen romance with the physically imposing Viscersa where she proposed to the former Hardcore and WWE Tag Team Champion.

Outside of the Viscera storyline, she’s been known to do fantastic renditions of the “Star Spangled Banner” at countless WWE events including this year’s WrestleMania in Miami earlier this month.

As for a rivalry with Natalya, I would hope the WWE just leave Garcia to her announcing duties on Smackdown even though the Divas division needs all the help it can get at this point in time.

With the current state of the Divas division in the WWE, do you think it would be a good idea for the company to insert a non-wrestler like Lillian Garcia into a feud with the former Diva’s Champion Natalya?
