Trish Stratus Turns Down WWE Offer

In a fascinating piece of news, it has risen that Amy "Lita" Dumas was in fact the team's second decision to introduce the "Divalicious Moment of the Year" to current diva Kelly.

Dave Meltzer noted in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Stratus turned down the chance to show up at the service:

"Lita was actually the second choice for her spot on the Slammys. Trish Stratus was asked to do the show first, but turned it down."

While this might astonish some, it is not through and through stunning.

To be sure, Stratus has had an inconsistent year with WWE. Incompletely owed to her interest as a coach in USA's Tough Enough actuality reveal to, she rose as a general element on Raw for the first time following she retired as an entertainer in late 2006, yet doing an extraordinary presence at Wrestlemania, cooperating in a tag crew with John Morrison and Jersey Shore star Snooki in opposition to Laycool and Dolph Ziggler. She in addition cooperated in a few TV matches on Raw right away a short time later.

Trish's return was cursed by a few situations. Eminently, she encountered political situations, as her support in the match infuriated John Morrison and better half Melina (Trish could later pummel Morrison in a discussion for his trashy medicine of her in the run up to Wrestlemania and at the match itself).

There was moreover the rather disturbing actuality that Trish basically didn't appear frightfully over with the masses anymore. While WWE have as far back as anyone can remember advertised up Stratus as a legend and symbol, the Canadian wrestling star was as a rule welcomed by hush whenever she turned out.

It appeared similar to the fans actually weren't that into her any more. Few were amazed when she vanished altogether from WWE screens without further ado when.

It will be engaging to see where the WWE/Stratus association goes from here and if the group chooses to carry her again as a mentor for the second flavor ofTough Enough, specifically with Michelle McCool, a lady supported by her solid political reciprocities in WWE, firmly indicating she needs the spot of female coach for the following season.
