AEW President Tony Khan revealed that the recent AEW Collision event at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville marked the company’s last show at the venue for quite some time. The amphitheater, which has been a symbolic home for AEW since its early days, is set to undergo major renovations as part of the “Stadium of the Future” project.
Daily’s Place shares its grounds with EverBank Stadium, which is also being revamped under a massive redevelopment plan estimated to cost over $1.3 billion. The construction project is expected to significantly modernize the entire complex but will temporarily halt AEW’s ability to host shows there.
Despite this, Tony Khan expressed optimism about returning to Daily’s Place once the renovations are completed. The anticipated timeline for the project extends through 2028, meaning AEW fans may have to wait a few years before seeing another show at the iconic venue.
This marks the end of an era for AEW at Daily’s Place, which became a cornerstone for the company during the pandemic and a beloved setting for many memorable matches and moments.
