Jeff Jarrett's Attempt to Bring WWE Legend to TNA Wrestling

In the early 2010s, Jeff Jarrett, co-founder of TNA Wrestling, sought to bolster his promotion by recruiting a WWE Hall of Famer. Jarrett's target? Bret "The Hitman" Hart.

The Recruitment Effort

Jarrett revealed in a recent podcast that he approached Hart multiple times between 2010 and 2012, aiming to bring the legendary Canadian wrestler into TNA. He envisioned Hart not as an in-ring competitor but in a mentorship role, guiding rising stars like AJ Styles. Jarrett believed that Hart's endorsement could elevate TNA's credibility and provide invaluable experience to its talent.

Hart's Hesitation

Despite the allure of joining a rival promotion, Hart remained committed to WWE during this period. His loyalty to Vince McMahon and the company's long-standing relationship influenced his decision to decline Jarrett's overtures. Hart's reluctance to leave WWE was a significant factor in the negotiations' failure.

The Missed Opportunity

Had Hart joined TNA, his presence could have been transformative. His mentorship might have accelerated the careers of emerging talents and provided TNA with a prestigious figurehead. However, with Hart's continued association with WWE, the opportunity never materialized.
