It looks like TNA Impact needs to find a new home….again.

According to Dave Meltzer’s newest issue of The Wrestling Observer, Destination American has notified TNA that they have canceled Impact effective some time in September. Meltzer states that Destination America made the decision to cancel TNA right around the time that they decided to move TNA to Wednesday nights. The Discovery Channel, who owns Destination America, is also aware of the decision.

Meltzer states that Destination America has two reasons to cancel TNA. First, the advertisers for their station did not want their ads ran during TNA Impact. Second, even though the network did not consider TNA’s ratings to be bad, they simply did not justify the cost that came with the programming.

Meltzer also reports that Dixie Carter has been made aware of Destination America’s decision, but she has yet to inform the talent.

What’s next for TNA is unknown. When TNA’s Spike deal expired, it was said that they had multiple suitors for their programming. Coming off of 2 cancellations in 2 years, however, may prove too tough to overcome for TNA.
