Like in so many years prior, The Undertaker hasn’t been seen on WWE television since his victory over Triple H inside Hell in a Cell at this year’s WrestleMania.
Here are the details from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (via WrestlingInc.com) on plans for the return of The Undertaker along with countless other superstars to be at the milestone episode of Raw.
WWE officials have reportedly contacted nearly two dozen former performers for cameo appearances on the program, which will be treated as pay-per-view quality event. The entire roster will be on hand for the show and there is a chance new talent will be introduced as well. Officials are hopeful that The Undertaker appears at the event. If he does, it will likely be promoted weeks in advance rather than as a surprise.
As the only remaining superstar that appeared on the first episode of Monday Night Raw back in 1993, it makes perfect sense for The Undertaker to make an appearance next month at the 1,000th-episode celebration.
In addition to The Phenom, it would be a safe bet to see the likes of big-name superstars like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mick Foley and possibly some satellite message from The Rock during the broadcast.
It would also make sense to see the return of Brock Lesnar to television. The WWE will likely start the buildup toward SummerSlam with Lesnar against Triple H that would take place less than a month after the 1,000th episode of Raw.
With plans for The Undertaker to be among the special guests planned to be in attendance next month, what former superstars would you like to see make a cameo on the special 1,000th edition of Monday Night Raw?
