There's no way the illustrious wrestling career of the Big Show truly came to an end last night on Raw.
While it isn’t uncommon for the WWE to humiliate their stars as they walk out the door, the Big Show is a different breed.
The company was just trying to get more heat on John Laurinaitis.

It worked—fans hate Johnny Ace now more than ever.
With all of that said, what’s next for the Big Show?
Just like John Morrison or the Bella Twins, there's a precedent for the WWE actually allowing one of their biggest and most loyal stars go out in a very public segment. While that's the custom, Big Show isn’t through with the WWE just yet.
This is where the epic heel turn comes into play.
The segment on Raw in which John Cena verbally accosted Big Johnny Ace proves that someone who's not working for the WWE will have to interfere in their match at WWE’s Over the Limit.
Laurinaitis got a letter from the WWE Board of Directors saying that anyone who interfered with Sunday’s PPV match would be fired. With Big Show already "fired" and desperate to get his job back, what better way to turn heel than by screwing John Cena out of a win and allowing Mr. Laurinaitis to remain in power.

After Johnny Ace hires Big Show back, we can add him to the evil-power stable the EVP of talent relations is developing with himself, Eve and David Otunga.
While many fans would prefer to see Big Show remain as a face, his character has grown stale and it’s time for a change. With Show’s career coming to an end sooner rather than later, as long as the WWE gives him a nice final push, we should just enjoy it while we can.
As great as Big Show has been as a good guy, his heel persona will help legitimize Johnny Ace as the GM of both shows and as the biggest heel in the WWE.
Big Johnny is like Vince McMahon without all the swagger and power. Big Show can make Laurinaitis look just lightly less goofy.
